Harbor Freight — Local services in Branson

Sold a vacuum to me without ever mentioning you had to buy an $85 charger and battery. Tiny words on the box, battery not included. Have to drive 21 miles back to the store to get my money back.

Tried to buy a side by side / lawnmower jack being advertised in their ad. . None in stock. Said it would be 2 to 3 weeks. Then looked online at the store and the employee said he couldn’t get it at all. Found it in Springdale Arkansas. They wouldn’t take a payment over the phone and refused to hold.

Harbor Freight needs to get their customer service $hit together. Went to Lowes, had it in stock, got 10% off and took to the car for me.

Follow up. Returned the product sold to me and was working with nice lady at checkout. The same useless guy that sold me the vaccum that required an $90 battery and charger without telling me walked came over and tried to claim I told him I had a Bauer battery for it. Total bullshit. We never discussed. I also told him his store didn’t carry in stock thd lift I wanted and I had to drive to Springdale. This employee said I should expect out of stocks on sale items. I ran a hardware store for five years. We ordered extra based on percentage of expected sales increase. This giy admitted he on had one when tje ad came out.

I wasn't sure how to rate this. I am happy with the store for the most part, I am very happy with the customer service when I'm there and I've had mostly good luck with the tools that I have bought. My one complaint is that they run out of stock very fast and can never tell you what's coming in on their truck and when. They say they have no idea what's coming in until they open the freight to put it away. While I am sure they are being honest about this it is the strangest thing I have ever heard of. I work at a retail store and have worked at many others and we were always able to look at a list to know what was supposed to be coming in and what actually came in. At the store I work at now the stock is automatically ordered by the computer but we are able to adjust it as needed and we are able to see every single item that is supposed to be coming in. Anyway, overall I am happy with the store but it is just really strange and weird that they can't know what's supposed to be coming...

Good tools for good prices. This trip, I was purchasing roof tarps. There was 1 on the rack and so we asked if there were more in the back. Someone went to check and we proceeded to walk around getting a few other items, periodically walking back to the front to see if any progress had been made or whatnot. We did this for a good 30/45 mins. And picked up a few things we didn't actually need, but found to be a really good deal (little LED lanterns, seriously get like 10!! They are nice) anyway, we go ask the guy and I guess the tarps had been sitting at the front counter the whole time. No one said anything at all. Now, I think its quite smart considering I added more things to my cart, but it was quite obnoxious considering we had been waiting and waiting for awhile. One nice guy did wheel them out to the car and laid them up for me since they weigh bout 40 lbs each or so. But, we got what we needed and they were pleasant...
