My wife and I eat here all the time. We love the fact that their food, even on the buffet bar is made always fresh. For the longest time, I would give them 5 stars however had an incident when calling them after I got off work on Friday, December 15,2017 at 7:30pm and wanted General Chicken Combo meal to take home. The male employee answered the phone, very rudely and stated for me to hold on. He then proceeded to put the receiver either in his pocket or down to where I could hear 2 or 3 employees (including the one that answered) laughing and play fighting. This continued for about 5 mins in hopes that he would finally come back to me but he didn't. I finally hung up and tried to calling back 3 times where I got their answering machine all three times and, at that time it was only 7:40. I miss the way Panda House used to be. Very dedicated workers. The young woman who is the owner has always been close to our family and we were such dedicated customers. We eat Panda House at least once or twice a month, but not anymore. This incident has changed everything and we will no longer be eating there unless they hire some dedicated employees like they had before. I found out that they are under new management about 6 months ago and now I know why there service and food has gone way down hill. There used to be a young Chinese woman (late 20's early 30's) very nice and kept it very clean. Food was always fresh throughout the day. However since this American older man took over about 6 months ago (or longer) the food isn't as fresh. And there has been a couple times that I or my family have gotten sick after eating Panda House.. We are very disappointed and we miss the...
Read moreThe food was warm and nothing was empty the whole time we were there. Workers were constantly checking and refilling the items that were low. Everything was clean and our drinks were refilled regularly and dirty plates removed from the table.
On the negative end, we found the food to not be the best in flavor. The pieces of chicken were large but lacked in the flavor department. The orange and lemon chickens both tasted like the sauce was a fruity pie filling. The sesame and General chicken were just okay; as were the egg rolls, lo mein and crab ragoon. We tried most things on the buffet at least once. The best thing we had on the buffet was the hot and sour soup. It tasted good and had plenty of tofu in it, would definitely recommend. The selection is a little on the small side with one section for hot food, one salad section and one dessert section. Buffets can still be good with a small selection of options if the food is up to par. Unfortunately this wasn't the case here.
We are visiting from out of town so we aren't sure how this Chinese buffet rates against any others in Branson however we would suggest trying a different one if someone is looking. Not terrible, just disappointing. It cost approximately $12/person for the dinner buffet...
Read moreThis is where I get my lo mein. Only lo mein. That being said I made it home one day with an order of random noodles (I didn't think to check). I couldn't stomach the food. So I call. She takes me name and says when I make it back they'll make it right. Ok. That brings us to today. After explaining my situation to the manager (Lee) she tried to talk me out of the idea that they messed up my order. Then when she finally asked for my name and she yelled to the cooks to make my order. When I get through the drive through to check .. it wasn't even a half order. If I knew it was going to be half of what I paid for I would have just got my money back. I'm just upset that she was so rude. Like I was trying to hustle them. The original order they messed up was not eaten. I doubt very much that I will be back. And I was addicted to this place for a good while. Lee isn't the best face for this company. Super uncool. 2 visits and I still feel ripped off. I hope the owners see this and realize that you don't need her treating people so rudely. Lee you make a horrible...
