This is a cozy pub in an unusually high end neighborhood. What? Most neighborhoods don't have wineries?
I took a reasonably wide sampling of food when I visited and found the dishes texturally pleasant. I could tell the ingredients were more premium than most places, and food was served promptly.
Service was uninspired if not unpleasant. One poor young gentlemen was clearly one bad day from his villain arc. As a rule, and I cannot possibly stress this enough, the dishes were undersalted fairly severely. I can tell that your recipes were developed with care. What great beer batter. But for the love of all that is holy do not charge me $15 more for every dish than an average restaurant and undersalt your food. This is non-negotiable. Table stakes. Cooking 101. Absolutely foundational to the preparation of food.
Do not, ever again, deign to demand such a premium for your food and undersalt it. If you cannot get the basics right, re-center and tear it down until you can. Then build back premium if you can hack it.
I paid $25 for a burger that was thankfully fire grilled but was so utterly lacking in character I was astounded. No salt. No condiment. Bun wasn't even toasted. My god they snuck a piece of iceberg lettuce in amongst the butter lettuce. What... to save 8 cents? It was amateur use of good ingredients. Chef, don't bother paying for the good stuff until your kitchen can execute, it won't make a difference until they do. That burger was an insult, I've outcooked that on a goerge foreman grill with trash ingredients as a wasted college kid.
The fries were very nice, effervescent with flavor and perfectly cooked, which is good because every dish comes with a wheelbarrow of them. The plates are brown and the prices are high. The kitchen cannot justify the premium,...
Read moreAfter wine tasting and touring, I needed some food so decided on dining at Paddy's. I can never pass up the opportunity to eat fish and chips so it was an easy decision. Paddy's is located right next door to the winery so it's a perfection option. The pub has seating inside and outside and they're open 7 days a week.
The menu included your traditional Irish fare but at prices that were a little too high in my opinion, the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars. Our group was immediately greeted as we entered and its open seating but the host recommended an area for a a group of 5. Our waitress was Amazing, great personality and accommodating. She gave recommendations and even brought out a sample of Irish cheese so someone in my group could determine if she wanted it on her sandwich. No that is outstanding service!
I of course I ordered the fish and chips, the entree was $21. It was 3 large cod filets, pub fries and slaw. The fish was fried perfectly, not greasy and batter was seasoned. The pub fries were golden, seasoned and no ketchup was needed. The slaw was too bland for my taste.
I was too full so had to skip dessert and yes, I was very disappointed (sad face). Next visit I'll start with dessert and order the Irish Bread Pudding.
I definitely recommended stopping by Paddy's if you're in the area.
Cool fact: Completely authentic, all of Paddy's furnishings and fixtures were created in Ireland. The pub was then shipped to Château Ălan in Braselton, Georgia, reassembled here, and opened in...
Read moreDuring our girls' weekend getaway, consisting of a party of two, we arrived at the inn on a Friday and later decided to visit Paddy's following a delightful wine tasting experience. As we stepped into the establishment, we were immediately greeted by the attentive staff who promptly provided us with water. From the knowledgeable bartender to the hospitable servers, diligent kitchen staff, talented chef, and efficient manager, every member of the team exuded professionalism and friendliness. Although the menu offered a limited selection, it skillfully highlighted the chef's and kitchen's strengths, a quality that I greatly appreciate as a patronâprioritizing quality over quantity.
Throughout our stay, my girlfriend and I frequented Paddy's for lunch, and with each visit, our experience improved even further. It was heartwarming to see that all the staff members remembered our names, contributing to the overall pleasant and memorable atmosphere. I must extend my utmost appreciation to the entire team at Paddy's for providing a welcoming environment that felt like a home away from home. I am genuinely grateful for this wonderful discovery and eagerly look forward to returning in the future.
Courtney, Ava and Chef Sam- thank you so very much! Mahalo Nui Aloha, until we...
