Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Brea

The telephone is always turned off at Bruegger’s Bagels at the Brea location making it impossible to place an order. My orders are large. It’s fine to go there for an individual order, but if you want a large order of several dozen bagels you will have to go there, place the order, and then wait an hour for your order to be made. That is a very big inconvenience for this customer that spends a minimum of 45 minutes, and usually longer, to drive there from Glendale. I called again after entering the restaurant. The same thing happened - one ring then click you’re cut off. I then pointed it out to an employee. She denied the phones were turned off. She reached for the phone under the counter and then told me to call as she held it in her hand. It magically continued to ring normally. Looks everything to me like she switched it back on when reaching for it under the counter. She then told me that the reason my calls were not going through is because I have a blocked number. That makes absolutely no sense. Why would my call come through only after her hearing my complaint and having me call again once the phone was in her hand? Management please run your own tests on different days at...

A coworker and I were heading to the place next door when this place caught our eye. We decided to try it out instead. I got the cheddar jalapeno bagel. It was great! I also got the Western Smokehouse which left me very disappointed. The bagel itself was amazing but the meat was dry, flavorless and cold in the middle. Three stars for mainly the delicious bagel.

I also ordered the hash brown but the server forgot about it and sent my order without it down the line to the cashier. I dodged a bullet because my coworker got it and it was soft, mushy and bland. Guess the server was looking out for me.

I would definitely come back for the bagels, but I would skip anything for fillings. Also, don't get any soft drinks here, the soda machine had a hefty build up of calcium and lime on the machine from possibly hard water, which tells me it's not cleaned thoroughly. It's 1:00 pm and we just had coffee for breakfast. We were hungry. My husband said,since we're passing though Brea (on our way back home to Corona. FYI we stay pretty local. So this is an adventure for us 😂)let's go to Bruegger's. The guys would bring these bagels into work and they're pretty good. This is my first time. OMG, I had the lunch Western brisket bagel sandwich with jalapeno cream cheese added. It was So delicious, did not want the taste to end. It really hit the spot. Husband had the breakfast brisket bagel sandwich. It comes with egg and cream cheese. That was also a choice. The customer service was excellent. The ladies that work there are all super nice and You can tell just happy people. We also purchased a Baker's dozen bagels to take home. I wish we had a Bruegger's Bagel in our area.
