CAVA — Restaurant in Brea

DO NOT GO TO THIS BREA LOCATION. Always out of Steak and Chicken, Read the past reviews as the manager can't manage and continues to run out of Steak, Chicken and Cucumbers several days in a row Thursday 7:30 pm sign on the door they are out of steak. I get up to the counter and they have no more chicken, yup waste of time in line. Ok I go Friday the next day at 7:45pm No Steak and no cucumbers at all. If I wait 15 min I could get only one of the cucumbers as the mixed cucumbers they were not making.

Monday 645 pm again and I get up there and no steak. I spoke with someone who said they were the manager and I asked what's going on and was told they are cutting hours and nobody to prep food as they were just as upset as it's an ongoing problem and was about ready to quit. Nice person but extremely frustrated not having all the food almost every day and not just meat but cucumbers etc . I asked what's the store manager's name and was told that they can't give out that information 🤣🤣 The staff wear name tags but can't give out the managers name as I can see why because they can't manage. Brea has been open several months and still can't figure it out. I haven't had this issue at the Whittier Cava. You can only contact corporate via email, gee so professional that they don't care to hear good or bad about our business experience. Then they said they would give me credit but need to have an account with them 😲 Really?? You want all my information to sell for crap service???

Look In-N-Out Burger has never run out of anything From meat to napkins yet Cava advertises a meal you can't get even after 3 tries and it's not like I showed up at closing but how many people couldn't get their order as 3 people walked out with me.

Cava doesn't Care, Cava Corporate doesn't want to be bothered as they just respond with a canned email.

Don't waste your time in line. I'm not the only one that has been here when they don't have steak or chicken. The staff is great 👍 But the management has no clue how to manage and would not make it at In-N-Out Burger just down the street. Explains why this place is below 4 and 5 ⭐ at 3.7 🤣

One ⭐ because the building was standing 😲

I gave them two weeks to make it and they have done nothing so here comes...

Favorite Cava location to date! TBH the food isn’t as like insanely good as I remember when I first had this years ago, but it’s still solid. We got bowls, and one of them had the new chicken shawarma garlic protein and it was delish just a little spicy. Honestly what gives this place 5 stars is the service. Like, the workers!! We had this one guy start us off and he was SO nice I wish I got his name but just know they’ll take care of you well here and with a genuine smile. We actually had a small misunderstanding with the preset bowls and thought they would ask us what we wanted for the base, but yeah those premade bowls on the menu you see all have a predetermined build, so just be cautious when ordering and make sure you get what you want if starting with a non custom bowl.

When we got passed on to another worker, he was just as nice ringing our order up. Like, you could not ask for better service here, and that honestly makes the food and experience in general taste and feel so much better.

Will definitely come back if in the area and craving a healthy meal! Also side note get the pita chips...

Good food. Online ordering has issues as it told me there was a problem with my card, though there was no attempt to run it any of the 5 times+ I tried placing the order. My bank showed no charges, attempted charges... nothing. I went into the store and used the same card with no issue. The same thing happened the next time I tried ordering on their website. Both times there were no attempts to charge the card yet they said there was an issue with my card. Numbers, exp, and zip were all correct as it's stored in my digital wallet and auto-fills. I never have issues with it anywhere else. Other than that the food was great and the workers that helped me were great except the manager who was very disinterested in helping me, wouldn't even look at me...just brushed me off and told me to just "go get in line and order it over there"... after I'd been on his website for 30 minutes trying to place the order that wouldn't go through bc of their tech issues and I was now late. So after all of that, I had to stand in a long line that had one...
