Famous Cafe Brea — Restaurant in Brea

Haven't even eaten and I'm upset.

Saw the deal for 2 burgers for 5 bucks. Thought to myself, cool.

It does not come with fries or a drink.

So, I asked for fries and a drink.

$8.70. Sounds about right for fries and a drink.

When I pull up to get my order, it seemed to take awhile. I figured if it's good and worth it, I don't mind waiting. Well, it wasn't. No drink to start. 3 extra bucks for fries that were soft and soggy. Why take so long if you are gonna serve garbage. The tomato, yes a single slice of tomato, was old and mushy. And the burger was piled on with lettuce. Which makes the burger seem big but it's not.

Sadly, everything else was decent but the miscommunication and the fries and tomato and piles of lettuce made my impression to be bad. Oh, and the deceptive price.

I told the sever at the window that i ordereda drink and she just looked at me.

Reading other reviews, I can take a guess why I got this second hand, garbage, service...I'm white.

There's another review that says in the first line that "if you are hating on this place, you must be white".

Free country to say what you want and free to review anyway you want but why would the establishment allow that review? They can report it. It looks bad for business which is probably why business is so cheap. Bad move. I figured I would test it out and my suspicions are correct. Oh, unless they are just garbage but, it makes more sense that they just treat white people differently. Place was dead though so cutting off 80% of the population of the country is...

I went there for the first time, it was kind of late around 8pm. The cashier was kind of rude but i thought maybe she was tire for being there all day,then i decided to go back for the second time. The cashier was kind of rushing me. I placed my order then i asked her for a cup of water she said to get it from the fountain drink machine.while i was eating i decided to get a cup of coffee I'm ordering the cup of coffee when the unprofessional dum cashier says to me"OH YOU ALSO GOT A FOUNTAIN DRINK, Right? I said no i got water...omg i felt really embarrassed, then while i was about to get the cup if coffee that i had already paid for she comes to me and says ""here is a foam cup" when everybody else was drinking coffee in reg. Coffee cups. On top of all that!!! The eggs had no flavor, the pancakes were really drye and the slices of avocado they put on top of the egg had dark apots, (rattan avocado:(. I eat out alot and I'm telling you guys....what happened to me at this place thank god never happened to ME before. I will never go back to that CHEAP PLACE. THERE ARE ALOT OF PLACES WHERE THE EMLPLOYEES HAVE MANNERS AND TREAT CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT...

This has become a favorite breakfast place of mine since moving to the area from Indiana 3 months ago. This is my usual, steak and eggs with hash browns, toast, and coffee. The steak is a thin slice of Ribeye, very tender and seasoned nicely. The hash browns are plentiful, crispy on the outside, soft and smooth on the inside. The best I've ever had! I get my three eggs over easy. They have a better than usual coffee. The only complaint I could offer is that the toast comes out unbuttered and usually won't melt the butter pats that come with it. But, butter it anyway and lay out over the hot hash browns and it will melt easily! 😉 The staff is very courteous and friendly. I eat here 3 or 4 times a week. The steak & eggs breakfast will run you $18.08 with coffee. Coffee is supposedly free between 7am and 11am, but I rarely make it...
