I ordered the food using off of the corporate website where delivery was free. As I'm not from the area, I'm in a local hotel without a car. Order was seemless and I provided the room number and did NOT check the box for contactless delivery. A text was sent from a San Francisco number stating the driver was 3 minutes out and to meet "X". Shortly thereafter two follow up texts were sent confirming delivery. One from the San Francisco number and one from the Washington DC area. An email was also sent. There were no knocks on the hotel room door nor any signs of delivery. I went to the front desk and they said they did not see any delivery personnel enter the establishment. I checked the front and back doors to the hotel and again no signs of food or a delivery attempt. Texts were sent to both numbers as well as phone calls but it appears that both cell numbers were blocked for any incoming communication. I contacted the number provided on the confirmation email. That number pointed to the store where the food was prepared. That number rang and eventually ended with a voicemail that was not set up. When I did finally get in touch with store, the employee directed me to contact the third party delivery service. Since I ordered the food from the corporate site, I had no idea what company or person was contracted for the delivery. Beyond that, he couldn't provide further assistance. In all fairness, it was past midnight at this point and he was polite but was not equipped to provide a response that would resolve my issue. After typing this up and trying again to follow up with the store, it's after 1am and most local establishments are closed for delivery or pickup. Suggestion: train the staff for a midnight one off delivery situation and have any automated texts or emails provide guidance if the delivery failed or if the order was incorrect. Invalid phone numbers, blocked incoming calls or messages and calls that ring dead don't do anyone any good in the event of an issue. Especially at midnight and for people out of town who have no knowledge of the area or transportation to pick up food themselves. Read moreI've been coming to this jib for quite some time.First off, I must say that the manager at this location is very rude and doesn't seem to be fitting for customer service.She yelled at your employee in front of us and in a very manipulative way turned to me and said "sorry for the wait"I couldnt have been more uneasy about the situation.I turned and simply said "no problem theres no wait ive been here for a few minutes not long at all"She(manager)Tried to make abduhl look wrong and it embarresed both my girlfriend and i at that point i felt she(manager) seemed very manipulative.You have an employee at this location by the first name of abduhl,there was a few(3)receipts in the register hanging down as the manager came over in front of me and my girlfriend and was loud and angry almost basically yelling at abduhl for leaving the receipts there and not giving them to the customers.Abduhl was the better person and employee by simply saying yes i understand and deescalating the situation.i felt he handled it perfectly.I dont think your manager at this location understands about management/employee discretion while in front of the consumer.If a problem arises it should be taken care of in a calm assertive manner,not a manner in which the consumers(me and my girlfriend)see an abusive manager basically yelling at her employee about some receipts that us consumers seldom ask or want.Not all consumers care or ask for their receipts that is a common thing.Every time I've come here in the last few months abduhl has been very assertive with his customer service and peoples skills.He's helped offer things on the menu that i didnt see.His work is an obvious underlooked performance.His peoples skills are above par.When I think of a management position and someone in that position I think or would want an employee like abduhl.I think it would be a waste to not utilise an employee like abduhl.I think his assertiveness and peoples skills would make him a great manager in the future.I think with proper training and real guidance he would make your jib location a lot better.Thank you for your time.
