Protein Lab — Restaurant in Brea

Terrible service!! UNACCEPTABLE !!!!! At 6:00, my girlfriend and I decided we wanted to enjoy a delicious bowl. I love açaí bowls and I’ve gone to many acaí shops all over OC and LA county. I wanted to try a new location and I saw this place in brea. I walked in and the girl in the front had an aggressive approach. There was man and a girl in front of us looking at the menu trying to figure out what they want. The girl on the front looked irritated and wanted them to order quickly which I don’t understand why there wasn’t many people in there it was almost empty inside. Once my girlfriend and I ordered I tried getting half açaí and half pitaya, she clearly said I couldn’t do half and half which is the first time I’ve ever seen an açaí place say that, but I understand no big deal. We ended up ordering two açaí bowls. She never asked if we wanted any additional toppings or or if we had any questions from the menu since we couldn’t build our own bowl. My gf and I wanted coconut shavings as well as almond butter. After charging us I asked her what about additional toppings?? I wanted almond butter and coconut shavings. She can’t read minds!! What makes her think we don’t want any additional toppings and just pass us through in a rush, I don’t know why? But overall service is trash! HALFA**work!I’m paying for my expectations and orders not to be built the way we want it. What’s the point of having a menu with toppings??I don’t recommend this place. I decided to try their Monster Bowl. Great choice! It was so yummy!! The peanut butter was thick and creamy! Love the organic hemp granola, on top and on the bottom. I usually don’t like banana in my bowls but it was good in this one. The coconut flakes and granola adds texture and crunch, which I like. Love the color of the dragon fruit (pitaya)!

I love the vibe of this place. The only thing…they don’t have enough seating so I ended up eating my Monster...

This was definitely a place to celebrate KOBE, he is plastered on their Great Wall. I am a basketball fan, along with my son. Kobe will always be the Greatest, among Magic, Michael Jordan, Lebron, Dwayne Wade, and the many greats out there. Thank you for having Kobe on the wall, it is so awesome! The Protein Lab is definitely a place to get our healthy smoothies from now on. We love this place! We Got their Matcha Man, Game Winner & Champion protein shakes. This place is really worth a try.
