The Culver’s in Tinley Park was my favorite Culver’s in the region … not anymore. One night I went through the drive-thru to get my family some ice cream. I had ordered a double scoop of chocolate, a single scoop of the flavor of the day, and a kid scoop of the flavor of the day. When I pulled up to pay I handed the man my payment for the two ice creams and the kid scoop coupon(they come on the kids meal bags). He told me it was the wrong coupon so he couldn’t take it off my order. I mistakenly grabbed the other coupon that comes on the kids meal bags. I searched around my car for the correct coupon but couldn’t find it, so I said just take the kid scoop off my order. I was a little frustrated at this point but I guess it wasn’t the exact coupon so I understood. Anyways, he then hands me my double scoop and the kid scoop instead of the single scoop. I told him that’s not right because I paid for a double scoop and single scoop. He was basically giving me a barely filled kids scoop and passing it off as a $4 single scoop (the cup sizes are different). Instead of just fixing the simple mistake by putting it in the correct cup size and adding a bit more, he starts arguing with me. He goes on this rant about how he’s had managerial experience for 12+years and about serving sizes. He then lectures me about the unit cost of different ingredients particularly pecans(which had nothing to do with the conversation). I was so frustrated at this point because the conversation just kept going on while my car was running and my other ice cream was melting . I finally just asked for a refund for the single scoop and left. The sad truth is he probably ended up tossing those ice creams in the trash anyways. The whole experience was just disheartening. I’ve been coming to this Culver’s for years and have always enjoyed their service/food. Idk if there’s been a change in management or what, but its not how it used to be. The atmosphere/customer service is hostile and the portions are pitiful. It’s sad they lost a dedicated customer over ice cream. For now on I’ll stick to the Orland location. Please treat your other customers...
Read moreI was served hot food but the smell of the fish was a clear indication that it was old. You could smell it through the bag! One side of the fish (cod dinner)..was hard and dry where the breading was missing. I took it back into the restaurant where the servers were.apologic...One of the cashier's asked "is that what that smell was?". I waited patiently for my dinner whole someone who appeared to be .manager spoke to one of girls complaining ....she did not see anything wrong .she said it loud enough for me to hear. I said if there was nothing wrong I would not have brought it back in..and you would not be remaking it. There second order.was.not as bad but the back should not smell fishy and the manager or whoever she was should save her comments for the break room. Especially since she was not mature enough to address me directly or at least take ownership of selling me a bad fish dinner for the 3rd time!!! Not fresh food. I gave up once sfar because the young people were professional.....but that's where it ends ...I gave my dinner away and went to...
Read more2021: Still a good place. But do not come here when they are busy. We ordered three kids meals, one got put down as a small basket. They forgot to give us our cups till we asked. They took over 15 mins to bring us our food to our table and my kids meal grilled cheese was cold, as we're the frys. When we went and got the flavor of the day ice cream (my friend gave me his free scoop token since he didn't care. But still annoyed that the grilled cheese kids meal got put down as a basket instead), which was caramel cashew, it came with no caramel. Just cashews on vanilla ice cream. I am displeased. Espically because when I mentioned this to someone I got told meh. This is a good place when they are not busy, but I am going to avoid them when they are busy from now on.
2019: Decent food. They have a pending library right above the trash cans, so if you have a little one you can read a short story while waiting...
