I had an Eye Dr appointment and had some time in-between before hand. I decided to stop for a bite to eat. I'm not sure how long this place has been here, but I have seen it while passing many times and never gave it more than just a glance. Today I decide why not, at the least I could say I tried it, I wasn't expecting that great of food so my expectations were low. Overall cosmetics of place is very nice looking building outside and the inside was very clean and kept up. The employees wear mask while serving the guest. They brought me water right away. Gave me a chance to order, not pushy or in a rush, made my dining experience very pleasant. My to to dish is always some Pho, I ordered their beef special Pho. Appetitizers I did their Crab Rangoon (these things are huge 2-3 times bigger than most places and stuffed with filling). I tried the wings they had, I forget the name of them, they were good, but a bit dry for my liking( they are a dry rug wing so nothing wrong with how they prepared it). Just my preferences is what I was getting at. Food review, Pho surprised me was very very good. It was one of the best and probably my go to place for local spot for myself to go to. It is very authentic aroma and taste amazing. The proportions are very generous too. For me I was able to finish, I've seen others take leftovers to go. The Crab Rangoon was also amazing. The wings were very good also. Just make sure you eat everything while hot, experience is so much better. Overall experience was 10 times better than I expected. Food tasts was great, service for me was great, proportions was beyond perfect. Price point, for the area I expected it to be pricey, but it is by far the cheapest price I have seen for Pho. Majority of places you can expect starting price to be $16 for what I ordered they usually are up to $20 at other locations and isn't as good as here. My appetitizers were also very inexpensive for the quality of food. They were well under $10. Place is very clean, open area seating. Tall ceiling so don't feel congested at all. Only really complaint if you can call it one. They don't bring the ingredients out for the Pho like most places do. They actually mix it in for you before they bring the Pho out. Really not a deal breaker, just that I'm used to how Majority of places bring the bean sprouts lime ect.. out so you can add yourself. You just need to request they add what you want extra when order or if first time like me you just ask them later for extra ingredients. I definitely would recommend this place and I would highly recommend stopping in if in area. They have a huge menu, literally big filled with lots of delicious pictures and pricing towards the back. Prices are pretty solid, not like some place where you see price scratched out and the new higher price filled in. I myself will definitely return for more Pho and try other items on their menu. (Separate day)Went here with my boys for lunch, was a bit disappointing, meat was over boiled in the broth or was overcooked before put if broth. Not how it usually served, not horrible still good.

This is my second time here and I really enjoy this restaurant. The menu is huge and they have a large variety of drink options. Portion sizes are enough for two meals. Today I got the crab Rangoon and chicken udon paired with a passionfruit milk tea with mixed Boba. My friend got the shrimp tempura and chicken pho with a lychee milk tea. The crab Rangoon are quite large and stuffed with a lot of filling. The wonton is a little sweet. It oddly kind of gave mild funnel cake vibes but it was hot and good. The chicken pho is huge. The table next to us also ordered pho (beef). We got to talking with them and both my friend and the gentleman next to us agreed that the pho needed more flavor. It would be nice to have a lime, basil, mint etc served with it. My chicken udon was great. I ordered it without kimchi. Very flavorful and I love udon noodles. Although the servers come quickly to your table both times I’ve been I’ve felt kind of rushed like if you’re not ready to order right then they just walk away and move on. On a customer service aspect I wish that they would spend a little more time asking if you needed any help with the menu or had any questions. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch and even got some orders to go. The bill was $118 for 9 items.

We have been going to Jo Jo Bistro formerly known as Joy Yee for the last 10 years. We started at the one in Chicago when we used to live there. But ever since we moved to the Southwest suburbs and since I am Chinese, I need some authentic Chinese good food in the area! Tonight we ordered to go on a Thursday evening. I got the Thai Tom Yum seafood noodle soup which was absolutely delicious. I always asks for extra noodles for $3 charge but the broth is sooooo yummy I need more noodles for the soup base. Plus I eat ALOT. I need extra noodles 😂 My son got the lemon grass pork chops over rice and I added a fried egg and he said it was absolutely wonderfully seasoned. We got 2 pieces of pork chops which was great because boys can eat! We also ordered the Korean Beef Japchae noodles and that was yummy too. Was it expensive? Well... everything nowadays is expensive. For the amount of food we got and how yummy it was, it was absolutely worth it and will be going back once a month as a special treat for sure. We normally get their mango tapioca but today it was kinda chilly so we opted out. So if you love fresh fruit smoothie, get it! You will love everything there!

Ok. So I'm comparing this restaurant with Broccoli and Saigon. 1st the Spring rolls which comes in chicken, shrimp, or tofu. They are big and long and are freshly made. I didnt taste any mint and the peanut sause was on the light side as far as texture goes. There were no fresh peanuts in it nor was there any Sriracha sause. I had also the Jo Jo Special beef pho soup. Not bad. Nice chunks of beef. Noodles were kind of stuck together(cause I ordered to go) but came a loose once I applied the broth. Comes with cilantro, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime. Noodles are rice noodles. It wasn't bad at all. Quite yummy. Now as far as the spring rolls, they're 95 cents more than Broccoli and Saigon. As far as Pho is concerned, they are cheaper than Broccoli(Schiller Park). They charge $14.95 compared to Broccoli's $18.00. This restaurant is fairly new and has a following. They also do smoothies here(I'll check out next time). They've got numerous options on their menu with many appetizers. This is a closer Vietnamese dine in to my house (7 min.) It's not bad. Now for the order in which they rank. Food and atmosphere is good. No doubt. But I still rank this in this order. Broccoli 2. Jo Jo Asian Bistro 3. Saigon. Broccoli is a bit more pricey, but overall freshness and appearance is why Broccoli is still no.1 for me. Not taking anything away from Jo Jo's. I do recommend this establishment. I will be back there soon. They give fast service. Went there today(4/13/24) Ordered the triple berry smoothie. So good!!!! In fact, their smoothie menu is deep with alot to choose from. I order the chicken and shrimp pad Thai. Oh yeah it was rocking. They got my order out I. 5 minutes. Fresh!!!! This place is growing on me. But I still say as far as spring rolls, Broccoli has got them beat. They are still growing in popularity. Good food hot and fresh. 3/17/25. They give fast service but they will be closed for over a month for...

My mom and I had lunch today and ordered the brisket pho noodles, kung pao beef, and two smoothies with tapioca. The food was great, however our waitress was rude.

My smoothie was delicious and the amount of tapioca in it was perfect, however, my mom had a different experience and had triple the amount of tapioca. It was to the point that she could not get to her smoothie and her straw was stuck with them. She was hesitant to say anything to our server at first but then mentioned that there was just so much in her smoothie. Our server told her to “scoop it out”. When my mom commented that my smoothie did not have nearly as much tapioca she said it was because I had already eaten all of my tapioca and proceeded to tell her to scoop it all out if she didn’t want it. I have never been to a restaurant that did not offer to bring something else out or at least apologize for the dissatisfaction. We were not rude or disrespectful, and she had no more than two sips of her drink so we were shocked.

Also, When we asked if the dishes were served family style or enough to share she said no and she didn’t know how much we could eat. If you plan to dine in or place an order to go just know that the pho noodles and entrees can feed a minimun of 3 people.

Unfortunately, service is just as important as great food so we will not be...
