My husband and I booked our wedding with the Tinley Park Convention Center in January of 2019 and were able to finally tie the knot on May 27, 2022, so it's hard to know where to begin. Our experience from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. Every single detail was taken care of from start to finish - personalizing our table decor, pipe & drape backgrounds, our outdoor ceremony, indoor reception/cocktail hour and hotel for the evening that were all able to take place at the venue. My husband and I are both vegetarian and when we mentioned it, the staff immediately arranged for the head chef to meet with us and plan a meal that was exciting for us. Our event coordinator, Brie, was INCREDIBLE. Brie made herself available to us for questions, concerns, suggestions and just to vent to when needed. We loved that so much was included, but allowed for customization (food, drink, our cake from Creative Cakes and decor). It made the process easy, but still allowed us to have a day which reflected our personalities and relationships. Not a single time did we feel taken advantage of and we truly felt and know that Brie had our best interest at heat the entire time. From having to post-pone twice due to COVID, we never felt rushed and rescheduling was extremely easy. Pricing and payment expectations were transparent from the beginning and there were no "hidden fees" to surprise you along the way.
Brie eased our minds of any jitters (the good kind!) at the rehearsal to ensure everyone knew their roles, places and where they needed to be on the day of. Brie touched base with us first thing the morning of our wedding to touch base on the weather to account for our outdoor ceremony and to ensure we both had everything we needed. She let us know as vendors arrived to ease our mind that everything was in order. Brie was an integral part of her day - as she can tell how much or how little communication you want to keep you at ease.
Our ceremony went AMAZING and transitioned into cocktail hour smoothly. Appetizers were fresh and plenty and folks never had to wait long for a drink. To say our reception room was a dream is an understatement - Brie NAILED our vision and setting up all of our decor. Dinner was served timely and all of our food was fresh, hot and delicious. All staff were extremely kind, courteous and professional. All throughout the night our guests were telling us it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding.
We were able to wind our evening down at the EVEN hotel bar (which is attached and incredibly convenient for all) with more drinks and pizza.
I cannot say enough great things about the TPCC as they gave us the evening we have dreamed of for literal years. Our friends and family are still raving about how it was the best wedding they've ever been to and how sharp/clean the facilities were, how amazing the food and staff were and how uniquely us we were able to make our space. Thank you to Brie and all the other staff who made our special...
Read morePLEASE READ: save yourself the headache and DO NOT book an event here. My sister I hosted a party for our mother and there were problems leading up to and the day of the event. Our “event coordinator” let me know the day before a final count is due despite my contract saying something different. She was telling me things that were contradictory from out first conversation and contract and it was me constantly reaching out to her for more info , when we’re paying them on time and via debit. The day of the event we had a consumption bar. The bar tender didn’t seem to know what he was doing and our guest noticed. Someone asked for a margarita the bartender poured four alcohols in there! He wasn’t measuring so the drinks were inconsistent. Furthermore, we were promised certain alcohol would be available only for us to revive half empty bottles that were removed after they were finished and replaced with alcohol we didn’t want (Tito’s swapped for Svedka as an example). They removed the food early when we paid for 1.5 dinner service! One of the waiters was EXTREMELY RUDE she THREW plastic cups at our guests and snatched water glasses out of their hands, WHILE THEY WERE STILL DRINKING! Then we got the bill that stayed 50 people over the course of 2 hours drank approximately 200 drinks, mind you he was keeping track of anything and a good amount of our guests didn’t drink at all and no one there was even tipsy because 95% of the people who did drink (45 people who drank in total ) didn’t have more than 1-2 drinks. When approached with the the manager was cavalier and they didn’t care. To top it off we were required to pay gratuity on subpar service. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to Orland or Frankfort where you and your money will be...
Read moreI’m writing this regarding an experience I had with a member of your staff yesterday evening. I am staying at the Holiday Inn Chicago Tinley Park Convention Center, to attend the NACA conference and asked the front desk attendant (Catherine) to change my room because I was given a room with double bed instead of a king size bed for my wife and I. Her response was very rude, her body language was unprofessional and disrespectful as she was rolling her eyes at me and was very dismissive. She refused to help me and told me there was nothing which could be done and continued to tell me I would lose my money if I cancelled and wouldn’t get a dime back since I booked my room through Expedia. This was my first time visiting Chicago and the way in which Catherine treated me was completely unprofessional and unacceptable, I would never come back to a Holiday Inn. I hope that she is not a reflection of the Holiday Inn values. I then asked to speak to the manager (Kyle) and he was very helpful and got me a room...
