Disappointed with the Dirty Hot Tub
As much as I hate giving negative reviews, my recent visit to la fitness left me extremely disappointed. The cleanliness of the hot tub was simply unacceptable, tarnishing what was supposed to be a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Upon arrival, the first thing that caught my attention was the murky water. It was evident that the water had not been properly filtered and sanitized. Not only did it look uninviting, but it also made me question the overall hygiene of the facility. The thought of soaking in unclean water quickly dampened my excitement.
Furthermore, I noticed the presence of debris floating in the tub. Leaves, hair, and other unidentified particles were floating near the surface, giving an impression of neglect and lack of maintenance. It was clear that the facility had not been diligent in maintaining a clean environment for their guests.
The surface of the hot tub was also visibly dirty. Stains and grime were clearly visible along the edges, further contributing to the feeling of uncleanliness. It was disappointing to see that basic cleanliness standards were not being upheld.
Despite these disappointing conditions, I must admit that the staff provided polite and friendly service. However, their professionalism could not redeem the unsanitary conditions of the hot tub. It is imperative for any establishment offering hot tub services to prioritize cleanliness and maintenance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
In conclusion, my experience at this particular la fitness was marred by its lack of cleanliness and maintenance. Given the unpleasant sight of murky water, debris, and dirty surfaces, I cannot recommend this la fitness to it is my hope that the management takes prompt action to improve their hygiene standards for the enjoyment and safety of their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad a few good experiences in a mix including feelings ranging from awkward to disappointed, and estranged to elation. Have been an LA member for about 2 years in Arizona. Unfortunately, the membership that I've maintained long after moving away from AZ to Illinois, knowing that the LA Fitness franchise is national. Here is where it gets exhaustive.
Upon entering, a very friendly woman seated at the front desk smiles as I walked through the door. There's a man standing next to and facing her, leaning backwards against waist high desktop, arms crossed with a scowl/poker face. I proceeded to explain that I'm a member and have been, after my key card apparently relayed to her database that the fees that I pay to the facility in Ahwatukee does not cover the "Signature" club here in Tinley Park. While she is busy, I asked the man with a scowl what he was doing, as he had been motionless from the start of interaction. His response was a thin grinned utterance , "I'm security". Not only was this a lie straight to my face, but he proceeded to act as though I was some kind of threat for simply asking him what he was doing.
Renovation- I had visited this gym once about 6 months ago and since has been updated to eliminate the terrifying sense of mold and rotten carpet. Excellent equipment and certain staff members.
Would prefer more privacy when speaking with front desk associate and relaying personal information.
Not only is the membership 20$ more per month for this average LA Fitness facility, but now there is a contract.... Contract A YEAR LONG BINDING CONTRACT and another LA Fitness initiation fee? Keep in mind that I have paid my membership dues over the last year and only used one facility-one single time. This gym is corrupt and pitiful in its end. I started at a 3 star rating but am...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI signed up for a 3-day trial to check out LA Fitness and see if it was a good fit for me. Unfortunately, from the moment I walked in, I wasnāt greeted or treated well at all. Instead of showing me the gym or giving me a proper tour, a trainer immediately started pushing me to sign up for personal training.
There were random people sitting at an employeeās desk, which felt unprofessional, and the trainer I was dealing with kept trying to intimidate me into a sale before even letting me see the facility. When I made it clear I wasnāt interested in committing to anything yet, he got an attitude, handed me off to his manager, and walked away upset.
Then, when I sat down with the manager, he had the nerve to ask me why I even signed up for the 3-day passāas if I needed to justify wanting to try the gym before committing money. At this point, I was frustrated and told him I never asked for a trainerāI just wanted to see the gym before paying anything. His response? A rushed, half-hearted tour where he barely showed me anything and even cussed a few times. Then, back at his desk, he continued to push the sale despite my obvious disinterest.
The whole experience felt forced and completely ungenuine. And Mike, you could have handled the rejection a lot more professionally instead of getting an attitude. The worst part? I never even got to try the gym or use my 3-day passāthe entire visit was just a high-pressure sales pitch.
I will never go back to this gym again. The service was unprofessional, and the focus was clearly on selling, not actually helping potential members. Save yourself the frustration and look...
