So, we're going to enter into some subjective territory because my favorite pizza may not be your favorite pizza, etc etc. This is a pizza pick up for take-out location, so we live by the quality of our pies in this case. The two most comperable styles of pizza in the Chicago area for the thin crust at Rosati's are Italian Fiesta and (don't crucify me) Little Caesar's.
Quality of Ingredients/Pizza - Obviously superior to LC (they work by quantity for cheap with lower grade ingredients. This is to be expected). Where we get into the real question is how it stacks up to Italian Fiesta. The quality of the doe is basically comparable. Toppings are heavier on IFP, while Rosati's is less greasy and the marinara is lighter and much better spiced. The overall experience, taste-wise, is more pleasant than IFP and it is less likely to turn into a flopping mess when you eat it. Rosati's also reheats in the oven MUCH better and takes on a cracker-like hardness closer to LC without a drop in quality of ingredients. If you put the two pizzas in front of me, I believe I could recognize them blindfolded and would prefer Rosati's hands down among the three.
Price Point - This is where LC comes into the equation. Little Caesar's isn't "Good Pizza." It's trash. We know it. But you get what you paid for. HOWEVER, comparable prices are important: You're paying after tax 12 for a thin crust 12" at LC, 20 for Rosati's, and about ballpark 20 at IFP. In my view, the quality of ingredients between Rosati's and IFP is roughly equivalent but Rosati's is better done. Is the up-tick in price commisserate with the increase of quality? That's open to debate, but I'll put it this way:
If I want it fast and reasonably cheap, I will choose an alternative like Pizza Hut or LC. If I don't mind my pie costing me 20 and really want it a little higher end, Rosati's. Hands down. I'd drive 2-3 more miles to get a Rosati's instead of IFP.
All this said, it's not going to truly wow you. You'll feel the cornmeal dust. You'll know it was fresh dough. The marinara is good, but it won't knock your socks off. If you don't mind the markup, Rosati's is better than most thin crusts in the area.
However, I'll still be going to Aurelios. Good pizza isn't great pizza and I wasn't wow'd enough to drive out to here again.
Staff is polite, menu easily navigated, site is accessible, parking convenient, but it's a pick up pizza place. That's all expected. The promotional issue was an unfortunate error in management judgment on addressing an expected uptick in sales....

Read moreHi, I visit your Hazel Crest location regularly and cater for parties. I ordered online as usual and did the curbside pickup that was available. I proceeded to call to let them know I was at the curbside, ready for pickup. The young man argued, saying they don't have to curbside pick up. I told him it's listed as one of the options available with the app ordering. He went on with his attitude, stated the order wasn't ready, and hung up the phone. I was in a terrible accident that limited my mobility. When the order was finally ready, he brought it to the car, hit me in the face with the boxes through the window, and threw the receipt at me. That is considered a battery charge. I spend too much money with your company for employees to treat customers like that. I do not appreciate it and should have called the police and pressed chargers. But I'm dealing with enough. I will also notify my employer, who also uses your catering services, to stop because of the terrible customer service. I will also be posting this on Yelp, google reviews, etc. I hope you guys get it together because the food is excellent, but that doesn't change the fact that your employees...
