As other reviews mentioned the service here is terrible and the food can be good or can be really bad. You take the chance. We love BonChon wings, we used to drive 1 hour to eat at the BonChon in San Leandro so when this store opened in our town we were really happy. At the beginning they had a lot of operations issues, the order took forever but I understand and I gave them some time. Last time I ordered 60 wings : 30 spicy and 30 garlic and the total was over $120.
When we start eating them at home because this is a ToGo store. We noticed that the spicy ones were good as always but the soy garlic ones were really bad, all burned, black inside, small. They were not with the quality we expect, so I called the store and the woman didn't even know what to tell me, so she took down my number and said they were going to call me back. After 5 days no one called me so I went to the store because I really feel this is not right away to handle a customer issue and the guy who was working told me he didn't work that day but he tried to call the owner and he didn't picked up the phone so again he wrote down my phone number and said someone is going to call me but again nothing.
So until now one week later I'm still expecting a call back and some sort of solution if this bad experience but they didn't even seem to care. As another reviewer mentioned they never respond and I guess they are paying for some of the 5 star reviews because they are from people that don't have any other reviews. You can look at the photo of my soy garlic wings and evaluate if this is the quality...
Read moreThey don’t take phone orders that is just ridiculous!!! So when I came into to order my food the one man working the counter was on the phone I guess confirming an Uber online order and had to continue to wait for at least 5 mins before he can take my order. I asked if someone else can help me pointing to the back kitchen area and he said no they don’t speak English I am the only one. Thankfully my food didn’t take super long to make. But last time I was there it did! They seem to be way understaffed!! And the only man working there was not friendly at all! Think it’s just ridiculous they can’t take over the phone orders….! And when I called to place an order over the phone the man was very rude about and just hung up saying bye and that was it!! Also not to mention the prices are way too too expensive for what u get… I ordered the Japchae and there was barely any meat in it, w tons of onions and bell peppers. My husband looked at my dish and said did they even give u any meat in it…!!! They are just way overpriced for the amount of food u get or quality really! I think this will prob be my last time eating there even though I did love the Japchae the clear noodles where my fav but with everything else I think I am going to have to pass on...
Read moreI must express my extreme disappointment with Bonchon chicken in Brentwood. As avid fans of the Bonchon brand, my family and I have visited every bay area location, including this one which happens to be closest to our home. However, we have been repeatedly let down by our recent experiences at this location.
Despite having ordered from this location multiple times since its opening, the last 4 or 5 times have been a complete letdown. It seems like the staff is cutting corners or simply not living up to the standards we have come to expect from Bonchon. The chicken we received on our last few visits barely had any batter, resulting in a complete lack of the iconic crunch that makes Bonchon's chicken so memorable. This subpar quality is simply unacceptable and has left us feeling very disappointed with this location.
In addition, this experience has been so consistently disappointing that we have decided to stop ordering from this location altogether. We gave them multiple chances to improve, but they have failed to meet even our basic expectations for the quality of Bonchon chicken. It is truly unfortunate that we can no longer count on this location to provide the delicious food and exceptional service that we have come to expect...
