I would give zero stars if that was an option. Went on a Friday night and there was live mariachi music. I wouldn’t have minded it, but as others have said, the space is so small they are literally right next to you and you can’t hear the other people at your table or your own thoughts. Waited for 40 minutes and the food was so cold I couldn’t even eat it, even though I was really hungry and I had alcohol, which should tell you how bad it was. We overheard 3 other tables complaining (to each other) about cold food. My BIL had shrimp tacos and he kept pulling hard pieces out of his mouth thinking they were shrimp tails. Turns out they were pieces of tortilla. Cause that’s what happens when it gets that cold - it’s like rubber. The waiter only came to our table to take our order and bring our food, never checked on us otherwise. We had to ask another waitress for boxes and even after we boxed our food, we still had to ask another waiter for our check. Our bill was over $40/person and we had a horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and...
Read moreWe recently dined at Mi Mazatlan for the first time, and it was an excellent experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, and we were promptly seated. The atmosphere was inviting and well-suited for a relaxing meal.
To start, we enjoyed the freshly made tortilla chips paired with a perfectly balanced salsa. For our appetizer, we ordered the calamari, which was cooked to perfection. For our main course, we shared a Molcajete—a delightful dish featuring a combination of steak, prawns, chicken, salmon, cactus, and chile, all served with a flavorful Chile Verde sauce. The dish was accompanied by refried beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. Each component was well-prepared and bursting with authentic flavors.
To finish, we tried the flan, which was rich, creamy, and the perfect ending to our meal. On some occasions, there’s live mariachi music, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience.
We highly recommend visiting Mi Mazatlan. Come and experience it for yourself, and let us know how...
Read moreThere was a bunch of things wrong with our visit. Honestly I ate maybe four bites and left the rest.
Stay away from the water. It honestly tasted like river water, the tap water either has no filtration or the cups were cleaned with dirt but every cup we had tasted like it was going to give us Montezumas revenge.
When asked specifically just raw oysters they were brought out with with some random sauce when I was stated would be plain raw oysters. After telling the waitress they told me they would replace it for me, after agreeing they returned the same oysters simply rinsed. Only reason I know is because I decided to eat one and it had no flavor, just seemed like chewed up gum.
Also the molcajete is a rip off. Like two strips of beef and chicken and 3 shrimps. The center was just green sauce. Like the saddest soup I've ever seen.
Honestly spent as much here as we would have at a decently good restaurant when the food was made with essentially the...
