We dined here Wednesday 6/18 during Social Hour. It was pretty quiet in the dining room with only 2 other tables being occupied. The hostess was friendly, sat us immediately, and said our server would be with us shortly. After a not so short wait, our server came to the table, gave us his name, and said he would be "taking care of us tonight". We had waited enough time for him to greet us that we had our entire order decided. He came with 2 waters and straws. I told him we were ready to order. He said OK and I started to rattle off everything. He was not writing anything down (which I knew was not going to be a good thing). I told him I wanted a Fresh Lime Margarita, a Coor's light, 2 Bang Bang Shrimp, a side of Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts, a side of Seasonal Risotto, the Baja Fish Taco's for my husband, some lemon for my water. I would like all the food brought out together. He nodded and walked away. A few minutes later he came back with pen and paper and told me the computers went down and he needed the order again. If he really remembered the order he could have written it down eyes rolling as like I said above ( I knew this was not going to be a good thing}. So, I repeated the order again, including the lemon for the water. He left and we were not "taken care of" from him again. The drinks were brought over by the bartender I believe. Then the Bang Bang Shrimp was brought out by someone else. What happened to me asking for ALL the food to be brought out at the same time? The Bang Bang Shrimp looked good and tasted fine but was lacking the "Bang". Then someone else brought out my Brussel Sprouts and an unknown dish that he put in front of my husband. It was not the Baja Taco's. We informed him of the wrong dish, and I asked about the Risotto. He said there was no Risotto back there, and took away the wrong dish. Now I have Brussels Sprouts and half cold Bang Bang Shrimp. The whole reason I asked to have everything brought out together is because I was making the Bang Bang Shrimp, the Brussel Sprouts, and the Risotto my meal to be eaten together, not in shifts. Then someone brought out the Risotto. So I ate and my husband watched. After almost being done, someone brought out his Baja Taco's. So he ate and I watched. He liked the fish taco's and by adding a couple Bang Bang Shrimp he enjoyed it more. We still had not seen our original server except for seeing him spend some time with some ladies at a high top booth in the bar near the kitchen. After finishing and piling all our empty dishes at the end of the table to cry for some attention, he came to the table and asked if so and so ( a name ) checked us out. I said no, and he said he would. He never came back. He never took away any of the piled dishes. He never checked for satisfaction, or refills, and he never brought the lemon I asked for from the beginning After about 20 minutes and having a conversation with a lady in the booth behind us going through the same neglect we got up and went to the Hostess station to ask for our bill. She went and got a manager. A young lady came out and announced she was one of the managers. I told her my account of this sad visit. She seemed very intimidated by me. She asked the servers name, and said she would take care of it. She said she would take care of the bill as well. I rarely write reviews anymore since Covid as the hospitality industry has seemed to die since then, but, this experience was so uncalled for. Perhaps some front of the house management on the floor would help. We came in with a Bang and went out...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience at the Brentwood location bonefish grill in Saint Louis! Denise was a great server who mentioned the specials in detail-even made a recommendation for butterfish (I am picky about fish though). The hostess that greeted us got us in when she could and everyone smiled at us as they walked by the table! Everything seemed so clean and organized which is always nice. It was also a Friday evening at 745, so we expected it to be extremely busy-which it was busy but it never felt overwhelming because the back was open and there were enough servers and hostess to facilitate the presence of the customers. I always have positive experiences here and it is always nice to see the familiar faces! Daniel the manager takes time to greet tables and is extremely cheery. My experience with both the food and customer service prompted me to write a review. I love the Salmon with pan Asian sauce-always fresh and seasoned well! My husband is crazy about the mahi mahi with mango salsa and we both devoured the fresh bread on the table! My husband had one of the alcoholic key-lime drinks. Though I am sober and cannot drink-my husband really enjoyed them! They smelt wonderful and were pretty to look at! I recommend the mashed potatoes as the side and broccoli because these sides seem to pair well with the richness of the salmon and pan Asian sauce. The broccoli is buttery and the mashed potatoes are always warm and cloud-like. I find myself craving their salmon frequently.
Also, my two cents about the reviews below:
Whenever I see disputes people have at this restaurant, I often think it is because they don't understand how a restaurant works. When you walk into a space such as this, and there are servers helping tables rather than greeting you-please know that this is because it is their job to greet the tables and the hostesses job to greet the new customers. This is because service needs to happen at every element of the dining experience-which is how good customer service is maintained throughout your time there-not just in the beginning when you want to be acknowledged. A hostess can only run so many tables at once-while performing their other duties-so be a little patient and understanding if they are not able to directly acknowledge you right away. People who get upset about this practice seem to not know the structure that exists and would rather spend 20 minutes of their time writing a negative review rather than wait at a restaurant for 10 minutes for Fabulous food and sustained, great customer service. Additionally, corporate restaurants have a specific amount of people they can accommodate in parties both due to staff arranged, building size, etc. Understand that restaurant jobs are similar to structures in your work place in order to run efficiently. Don't just discount a place because of (small) waiting times because you miss out on the whole dining experience that was created for YOU.
Next time, check whether your negative comment is due to a "negative" experience caused by the actual restaurant or by your unrealistic expectations.
As someone who believes in unbiased reviews-I promise you that everyone works hard at this restaurant and is extremely personable. My Husband and I are regulars and we enjoy every-time we eat here (especially in person). Give it a try-especially if you are a salmon or filet lover because their steaks are also always...

Now the bad. This is honestly one of the worst service experiences I've ever had, and I eat out 1-2x a week. I rarely ever complain, try to be very understanding if somewhere is busy etc. However, I made a reservation for an anniversary and when we arrived the hosts seemed confused and surprised when I told them & gave them my name. They did get us a table pretty quickly, so ok fine no big deal. Then my date and I talked for a while & realized it had been probably 25 minutes since we were sat. We hadn't been greeted, asked about drinks etc, nothing, no interaction. I figured they looked pretty busy so I'd just wait a bit longer. 45 minutes passed and NO ONE had talked to us, even to say sorry for the wait etc. Also at this point, there were servers sitting on the opposite side of a curtain from us talking loudly & obviously did not know we were on the other side of the curtain because they were talking badly about other staff members and customers. I'm very non-confrontational but at this point I was kind've shocked because I had been here before and not had this experience. I would have left if I didn't want to specifically eat here for our anniversary.
At this point I had to go back up to the host stand and ask if they had forgotten about us. They said they would remind the server we were there.. I think they had forgotten to tell her they had seated someone in her section. The waitress was fine, we didn't think it was her fault. I thought they would have offered some kind of discount for the inconvenience, but no.. and this brings me to the worst part.
We had to ask for the manager which I have never done before, so I was kind of nervous & explained the situation to which he replied "Well the food came out fast didn't it?" which is just wow. I've worked in service industries before and I've never heard of a manager debating with customers if their service was bad or not.
So after some back and forth he agrees to give us 50% off, which is cool I guess but the food/entire situation wasn't worth it. But then we had to wait another 20-30 minutes to get the boxes and bill for our food lol. I've never contemplated walking out of somewhere without paying before but I almost regret not doing so. So we were there for over 2 hours, until they closed and we were finally able to pay and leave. Don't recommend it, which sucks because the food honestly is some of my favorite.
Compliments to the cooks/chefs (they do great) and...
