Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Brentwood

I have eaten at several dickies BBQ‘s across the country. When I entered the restaurant I was not greeted I had to ask for service. I ordered 6 ounces of brisket while the person was cutting the brisket. His words were this brisket has no structural integrity whatsoever. I also ordered a pecan pie Which they were out of I was charged for a pecan pie and had to settle for a brownie at the price of a pecan pie. the brisket of 6 ounces. It was to go. Once I arrived at my hotel room. I noticed a very funny smell from the box when I opened them to go box it’s smelled like cat food. I took a closer look and decided to throw it all away, this dickeys barbecue needs some serious housecleaning. I would not order or eat there again. I am now completely done with dickeys barbecue from any city or state across the country. They have turned into the McDonald’s of BBQ and that’s probably giving McDonald’s a bad name. I don’t typically leave reviews, but i’ve spent my whole day in the bathroom. We were craving barbecue so we decided to try this place due to the reviews. Maybe it was just the time of night we went? We walked in last night to an empty restaurant around 7:30ish (that should have been our sign) but we decided to order anyway. The food was prepared quickly, we paid, and sat down. Although, it appeared they had just prepared everything, everything was cold. The brisket was all fat, the potato casserole was questionable and grey, and the mac and cheese was decent. The two boys were very friendly and seemed to be working really hard to close and clean everything, but the food was just simply not good. each time i've been there i haven't been hassled. i feel at home, & i get a better deal than most bbq places, particularly the ones that are overrated. when i learned they don't got a microwave, that added to me wanting to give a good review. microwaves should be recalled, banned, & discontinued as they're unhealthy. radiation is bad for nutrition. there are only a few restaurants that don't use them, & usually that's where i go as long as the service is good. i usually give 1 * since management is the cause, but not at that place. if i give 5 *s, the it's deserved. food is good & for their way of giving back, they got free ice cream, & u can get it yourself from a machine! when businesses learn how to treat folks & not take them for granted, they will learn how to love &...
