Another great sushi restaurant. We come very often about 5 times a year so every other month i would say. The sushi is great the service can be slow at times. But understandable when it’s packed you will have to wait your turn inline for your order to come up. We did wait over 1 hr and 30 minutes on time for our large order of 9 rolls when we came with our two boys. The place was packed and we waited 30 minutes to get in as well. But I would say I kind of expected the wait on a Saturday night and they were right on with the wait time. The 90 minutes before the order showed up was disappointing for sure. But again a sushi restaurant isn’t super fast. It came out tasting great as usual. Maybe a wait time of 30 minutes is expected. I really feel she didn’t put our order in and forgot since a lot of people got there order before us and arrived 30 to 40 minutes after us. I gave 1 less star for that one visit and we have been about 10 times in the past two years and we come often and would rate it 5 stars for the rest of our visits.
When we come as a couple it’s much faster, maybe 15 minutes for our 5-6 rolls.
Lots of great choices of rolls and a few Nashville inspired rolls. BRENTWOOD, and FRANKLIN roll I usually get. RED DRAGON, GREEN DRAGON as well are my usually go too’s. I get between 4-6 for myself. My wife gets 1 or a normal plate of rice and chicken gluten free for her and she likes it. Which not all sushi rice is gluten free. So just a heads up
This is a follow up review. October 24,2019 update .Another great Lunch at Jasmine! Today I went with a few new choices and got Chef’s Choice roll, J.B. roll and American Dragon Roll. Super delicious and maybe my new go to rolls!!
The waitress was preoccupied and rarely came by and took about 10 minutes to get her attention to get the bill after we were done eating. It was just us and one other couple in the restaurant. She was on her phone and also forgot our drinks and had to be reminded.
Today We stopped in at 2:00pm and got super Fast service and received all three rolls and my wife’s Gluten free Pad Thai w/ chicken in about 6 minutes.
Super Delicious! Yummy. We will be back again I will keep review at 4 stars. Great food and fast service, just less then spectacular...
Read moreI went here because of excellent reviews and recommendations. It wasn't very busy the evening I went in, which was great. My husband and I were sat as soon as we walked in and immediately given water cups. We ordered 2 bowls of Tom Ka soup, fried dumplings, and green curry with chicken. When the food arrived, it looked amazing, but that was the only amazing thing about it. My soup was thicker than my husband's and tasted bland. The curry was bland and pretty gross. The only decent tasting item was the dumplings, and those weren't even that good. Overall, I felt like the price of the food didn't match the quality of the food. After we left, both my husband and I noticed we were feeling nauseous, and my husband actually got sick that night. By the next day, our stomachs had settled down. When I checked our bank account a few days later, I noticed that I had less money in my account than there should have been. I looked through my transactions and saw that the total from Jasmine was suddenly higher than it had been when we left. The waitress had written herself in a higher tip than we had left, which is unprofessional and theft. I can safely say I am NOT coming back or recommending this place to anyone. Siam Café has much better food, prices, and people, so I'll stick with and recommend them for great Thai food...
Read moreI enjoyed this restaurant very much. I didnt care for the plastic curtains hanging between tables made it feel cheap. But sushi bar was completely open. Menu looked good the crispy fried Avocado stuffed with spicy tuna was quite good, as was the eel sushi and salmon skin roll and other rolls. I ordered the crispy duck in red curry with grape, pineapple (also had grape tomatoes in it ( I dont think they were necessary)) with steamed rice and steamed broccoli . There was plenty of food a but too much actually and the flavors were a bit lack luster for this style of cuisine. I expected the red curry to have a punch to it with some inherent spice, the grapes were whole as were the grape tomatoes ( pineapple chunks were about the same size as grapes and tomatoes). And even though the menu stated Basil, not Thai Basil. The delicious perfume and citrusy tones were blatantly missing. I believe this dish may have been toned down to appeal to broader tastes. But the things that could make this dish exciting were not there. An over abundance of something just ok is just to much. Where for me it prefer half of that duck done exceptionally to make me want it more. All in all I will definitely go back try other dishes just not...
