Donut Drive-Up — Restaurant in Brentwood

If you like Donut Drive-In, I think you'll enjoy this place because it's essentially just a mini version of this place. But if you've yet to try Donut Drive-In, I'd recommend going there first so you get access to their full selection of donuts. But regarding my visits to Donut Drive-Up:

Apple fritter was better than expected, but most of the other donuts are about middle of the pack compared to other donut shops. In terms of donuts I wouldn't recommend, the only donut I tried that deserves to be in that category is their old-fashioned donut. Usually this is my favorite type of donut at most donut shops, but it was my least favorite donut out of all of the donuts I tried here. They have a small selection of donuts, so take a peek at their menu before you go and make sure they have donuts you like. Thee donut ice cream blender is a great fusion of two tasty desserts. You can't find this item at most donut shops, so this is a great thing to try if you like donuts and ice cream.

Edit after response from owner: 2) I ended up going back a second time about six months later (01/29/2025), and my experience was much more pleasant this time. The service on this day compared to the last time I visited was way better, and I was actually able to get the donut ice cream dish that they told me was not available the first time. The place is super small and they had both windows open no big deal. But the donuts I purchased were old and sweaty. They must not have any air-conditioning in the little place because The icing on the donuts had sweated and crumbled up, and the donuts were warm and stale like they have been sitting there for sometime. I understand that they were approaching closing time, but if the donuts are not fresh, sitting in warm room Temperature say that and sell them half off or something, I don’t know just should never have gotten a doughnut in that condition. I arrived about a half hour before close and ordered a cinnamon twist and an Americano. The worker gave me two cinnamon twists since they were about to close and also a free soft serve waffle cone. Great service! The cinnamon twists were just okay, but that may be because it was the afternoon and they weren’t quite as fresh. I’ll try again in the morning sometime and update my review accordingly. The coffee (Park Avenue beans) was also good but not great.

But again, I’ll be back to give them another try when the food is fresher just because of the excellent, friendly...
