The store is kept very clean. To the right and on kiosks scattered in the open area when you walk in, you will find the shelves stocked with all of the Starbucks merchandise that you can buy to take home and enjoy it in your own comfy space.
There is indoor seating with different styles of comfy padded chairs and small 2- and 4-person tables inside.
The wifi is free and pretty darn reliable! Music is streaming on Spotify that you can add to your Playlist.
Outdoors, there are bistro seats and tables for those days that are not too horribly humid in St Louis. Enjoy your simple cup of coffee and a blueberry scone for an afternoon snack to get you through the rest of the work day. You can design your own custom made cream-based or coffee-based Frappuccino with however many squirts of espresso and a slice of pumpkin bread to get ready for your night out on the town. Or maybe you just want a cool hibiscus tea drink and banana nut muffin to start your day. Your choices are almost endless!
The food is fresh and delicious. The drinks are made to order. And the staff is so helpful that it's ridiculous!
I'm not a coffee drinker, so I don't know how to order much of anything on their menu... I was given a gift card for Starbucks years ago. When I downloaded the app one day (probably at least 6, if not more, years ago!) just to use the wifi on my phone while I waited for someone I drove to an appointment to get finished. I never even think about it being there because, like I said... I don't drink coffee or much caffeine at all.
Well, those smart thinkers over in whatever office where the big brains of Starbucks sit around thinking about customer engagement came up with a good idea this month.
The marketing team, who doesn't seem to have a hard day at work, sent out an email to remind me that I have money just sitting there in the app (so I didn't have to worry about losing my card...) They reminded me that I had a specific amount and haven't had activity on the app for a long time. Wasn't that nice of them. Those are my friends over there at Starbucks, watching my back!
They did let me know that it doesn't go away, but they were only giving me a courtesy note about it. The next thing I know, we are driving to the closest Starbucks to get drink with my family!
Using the secret menu from the app that lists these specials you don't find on the menu board anywhere, two of our party order Butterbeer Frappuccinos. They were coffee drinkers, so it was easy for them!
I spent more time with the bartista than the rest of my party. I had so many questions and they were very patient and helpful! I had to ask them the most basic of questions like, "What is doubled blended?" and "What are Frappuccino chips?"
After some great guidance, I ended up with a delicious strawberry cream-based Frap with vanilla bean powder and extra whipped cream. The only thing I would change is to use half/half instead of whole milk and have it doubled blended (to make it smoother.)
Now I can order like a pro when I go to...
Read moreI'm a new mom to twins and I haven't set foot inside a Starbucks (or any coffee shop) since March 2020 - so you know my desperation to get out of the house was high if I was willing/foolish enough to brave the morning rush. This location has been my regular drive-thru for awhile and I've always been pleased with it. Since I'm up ungodly early anyway, I've decided I may as well take my boys on walks and get some liquid energy in the process. I'm rusty at the whole "going out" thing; I forgot I could use my app to order ahead because I haven't slept in 5 months. I was unbearably awkward in the store, because interacting with people who are able to speak beyond cooing and pterodactyl noises is now novel to me. Navigating a double stroller indoors? I may as well be trying to drive a forklift in the cafe itself. Cars were backed up, mobile orders stacked up, and still I was greeted with warmth and great service even as I desperately tried not to be in the way of other patrons coming and going. I know it's their job. I know I wasn't that big of a deal and wasnt a hassle...But these days, the smallest tasks with two little ones in tow feel almost insurmountable. So thank you, Starbucks crew at Brentwood and White. And thank you to the employee who came over to gush over my son's dinosaur booties (and not to tell me that the stroller was inconveniently located, as i was fearing). This was the best morning I've had in a long time and I can see myself integrating this as part of a normal morning routine - and next time, I'll...
Read moreWorst customer service ever!!!!!! I had a card that was not activated, I do not have a receipt and I paid cash, totally my fault. I asked for a receipt after I paid for my drink and the card, the cashier said she couldn’t give me one. I thought that was odd, but I was on my way to an appointment and didn’t really have time to go inside. So today Christmas Morning: trying to put the card into my husband’s account, I find that that the card has not been activated. I make a phone call and was told I had to come in: so Christmas Morning I get dressed and go up to the store. The supervisor: very snotty tries to help me she cannot because I don’t know the exact minute I was there. She gave me a number to call, it is not the correct number for my problem. At no time did she ask for my name, offer us a drink for our time and inconvenience or really even apologize. I called her when I got home, still snotty, I told her I thought that she should have offered us a drink or something for our time. She said she would use this as a learning experience; still not asking for my name. There is no customer service anymore, is it not part of training anymore? I will be calling the store manager tomorrow; I don’t expect any better outcome and I don’t expect any better outcome when I call corporate, because the customer service comes from the top down. I won’t be going to this Starbucks (Brentwood) again, unless I have to go there to get my...
