I have been a customer of Seliga Shoes for many years. Some things have changed over the years, but there has always been one constant: the quality of shoes and an unparalleled knowledge of the product they sell.
This last time, my 78-year father and mom visited me from out of the country. I noticed my dad had hard time walking in his shoes. Like many elderly people, he doesn't like changes so asking him to get a new pair of shoes was not going to be easy. I had to figure out a way to do it so I took him to Seliga Shoes hoping they could help. John Seliga was there greeting us nicely as he always does. I was pretending to be looking for a new shoes for myself and asked John to figure out a way to have my dad try a new pair of shoes. He looked at my father's shoes and saw how they were worn out. It took him about 10 seconds to bring the shoe he thought was the best choice for my father. Than he used his friendly personality to communicate with my dad and had him try the new shoes on. It was a bull's eye hit. My father commented himself that he couldn't believe how much more stabile he was in the new shoes John had picked.
It is really worthy to have a guy like John Seliga who not only knows every little detail about the foot problems and how footwear can remedy them, but also has a way to communicate with his customers to make them feel they have made the right choice by visiting his store. Read moreMy sister and I experienced the most negative and upsetting event yesterday at Seliga shoes. After being in the store a few minutes, a salesman came over and asked how to help us. We explained my needs (I’m in a wheelchair and have specific footwear needs). He couldn’t get away from us fast enough. Another person came into the store - the salesman literally huffed at us and went to help the other customer - he never came back to us. There were three salespersons in the store and one customer beside us so it wasn’t crazy busy. I can’t write the whole story here, but the bottom line is, as we left my sister mentioned that their customer service was lacking. He literally ran out the door to yell at us before getting in the car. He went on to yell, rant and talk over anyone else. I almost called 911. It got so bad my sister started crying - at which point he got snottier. I have NEVER been in a situation like this. It was unbelievable. He just kept yelling at us and wouldn’t let anyone else speak. I’m still enraged today and don’t know how or to whom to report this as he mentioned HE was the OWNER! Read moreI wish I could give this store a 0-star review. I purchased three pairs of shoes from this online store. The USPS tracking indicates that the package was delivered, but I never received it. I reached out to them for assistance, but they seemed to refuse responsibility and acted as though it was my fault. I spent $426 on these shoes and am extremely frustrated with their response. Even when I asked them to cooperate with the carrier, they haven’t provided updates or responses.
I showed them evidence from the carrier’s investigation, which confirmed they delivered to the wrong address, not my house as the postman’s system suggested. However, they still didn’t address my concerns. I need a refund, as well as compensation for the impact this has had on my business since the carrier should reimburse the sender. Unfortunately, their unprofessional and irresponsible behavior is disappointing for customers who support their business and reputation.
