Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Brentwood

We went back for the first time this week and had a really poor experience. It took 25 minutes (!!!!) to get the kids mac & cheese and half sandwich we had ordered. My husband had long-since finished eating his salad bar serving by the time the rest of the food arrived. And it just seemed to be one thing after another. They've discontinued my husband's favorite, the Southwestern Chicken Chili, the kiddo was hungry so a full 25 minutes (from receipt time of 6:20, food delivered 6:46) didn't go over well, especially as we saw table after table getting their food first, the runner who was delivering food got a little surly when I asked about it after 20 minutes (totally acknowledging it's not his fault, esp if they're understaffed back in the kitchen), and then the ice cream was completely out when we tried to salvage things after finally eating. We used to go regularly & miss the all-you-can-eat salad bar option (but totally understand post-coved) and now we'll miss the SW Chkn Chili too. I always come here for the same dish: their salmon sandwich. I love fish, so I try it at many different places. Of course, I sometimes eat salmon at fancy restaurants too, but when they serve it overcooked and dry, it’s really disappointing. At this deli, no matter when I come, the salmon is always cooked perfectly—not raw, but still tender inside, and it melts in your mouth when you bite into it. Even when the thickness of the fish varies, I have no idea how they manage to keep the same quality in every sandwich. Honestly, I’d love to know how they cook it.

I always order the same side as well: fruit served with milk. The milk is probably high in calories, but it’s so delicious. I tell myself it’s fine since salmon is healthy anyway. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that my high school son always says he wants two of these salmon sandwiches.

Fast casual restaurant with breakfast (served all day), sandwiches , pasta, baked potatoes, salad bar and complimentary chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Offering curbside pickup, delivery until 6pm ($25 minimum before the $7 delivery fee of which the driver gets $1.50), online orders possible most days, and a kiosk to order from a limit menu without waiting in line. Staff is helpful and accommodating always willing to ameliorate the smallest detail whenever I ask. Dine in guests bring a few dollars to tip (as they won’t accept credit card tips) the food is brought to the table and they even refill our beverages every time we asked. Also don’t have to bus your own table. The strawberry shortcake is made with fresh whip cream 🤗 (not cool whip🤮) (Thank You Jason’s Deli!) and is a bargain at only $3.50+tax. Pro-tip ask for your cookies or brownies to be heated in the grill and top with ice cream!!!
