This is a feedback to the kitchen staff and also to the management. Overall for the Bay Area, the service and cooking are pretty good, but the consistency is not enough. Sometimes the beef patty looks and smells just disgusting. The problem is probably that the frying surface is not cleaned on time, or is cleaned carelessly, which is why the patty can have a dark color and burnt fat on the edges. Either the workers lack the culture of cooking according to standards, or training.
General feedback and experience sharing: I've gotten used to the fact that McDonald's here does not have very high quality standards. I worked at McDonald's in Europe, and everything looked perfect there, and it was not impossible to achieve and maintain. There, MacDonald's was a real restaurant where it was nice to go and enjoy the taste, but here it's more fast food to fill an empty stomach - it's a rarity when you can stumble upon properly cooked food.    Read moreThey took my order and repeated it back at order kiosk. Proceeded to pay window where my order was repeated as the wrong order, I said no and repeated what I had ordered. He said oh, ok took my money, made change, and handed me my receipt. I pull up to food window and they repeat the wrong order. I say what I had ordered and the guy says that he can't make an order change after I've already paid. I say I told the guy as soon as he repeated my order before he took my money that the order was wrong and told him what I wanted and then he took my money. Once again they repeat that I can't change my order at that window so I say whatever just give me my food whatever you think I ordered. they start to hand it to me and a manager comes up and says give me that what did she say she ordered and put it in the bag. I pulled away from the window and when I got around the corner I reached in and touched the fries. They were cold and I touched the burger and it was cold too.    Read more2/12/25: Ordered from the drive thru. $5 McChicken meal. $6 McDouble. 2 cars in front of me. We're told to wait in the drive thru pickup around the corner. Long story short, I get my food AFTER 5 cars who ordered behind me got their food at the window.
When I finally get my food, brought by the manager, I asked him why I waited while 5 people who ordered after me got their food already. He says it's given based on who ordered first. I told him I ordered before the 5 cars who got their food already. He tells me he doesn't understand what I'm saying! I try to explain again and he tells me he has to go, goodbye.
Obviously he had no explanation. If you're going to tell people to exit the drive thru so your window times meet corporate standards, you can't then make us wait while you service others first who came...
