Rubiano’s — Restaurant in Brentwood

Our family recently visited Rubiano’s in Brentwood, California for an early Saturday night dinner to celebrate my birthday, and we had a memorable experience. Our server, Meghan, who also turned out to be the manager, was friendly, helpful, and extremely professional. She ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable.

I ordered the Pizza Verde, which was simply outstanding. It has a pesto sauce with Artichoke hearts, garlic, and tomatoes, The Caprese salad I had was beautifully presented, although the tomatoes needed significant improvement. They were pale, pink, ice-cold, and too firm. For a delightful Caprese Salad, heirloom tomatoes or at least juicy red vine-ripened tomatoes would have been a better choice.

The atmosphere at Rubiano’s is very family-oriented, which means it can be quite lively with lots of noisy children. However, this adds to the charm if you’re looking for a casual, family-friendly environment.

My wife ordered the house salad, which was generously portioned and could easily satisfy two people. It was fresh and very satisfying.

A special highlight of the evening was when my wife mentioned it was my birthday, and Meghan surprised us with a complimentary dessert. The fried dough with cinnamon and sugar, served with vanilla ice cream, was delightful and a wonderful surprise to end the meal.

Earlier, RubianosBrentwood publicly posted my full name and photos on their social media, falsely accusing me of illegally dumping a package in their business trash cans.

To clarify, the package and address shown in their post were NOT mine and I do not live in Brentwood, nor have ever lived there. I am currently in Reno, NV completing my graduate degree. Despite me immediately reaching out to correct their mistake and request removal, the photos remained up for 5 hours until my mom called multiple times (I was unable to call because I was in class all day). During these phone calls my mom was hung up on, screamed at, and not being heard out regarding the false accusation. In the last phone call, the owner, @Teresa Da Silva , tells my mom that she does not know anything about any pictures and that she has no idea what she is talking about. Which, clearly she deleted after my mom had demanded they were taken down.

This was extremely unprofessional and handled very poorly. Posting someone’s name and photos without verifying facts is DEFAMATION and can cause lasting damage. I have been receiving negative messages all day regarding this situation, that I had no part in. Mistakes happen, but accountability and a genuine apology should follow and I have NOT received either. In fact, they kept the posts up, blocked me, and deleted all my comments I had left defending myself. We were invited down to come have cocktails and apps with some friends who are regulars here, my husband and I have never been. We come in and ask if it’s even ok we are there because they started setting up for a private party and the bartender assured us we were ok to stay. We were seated at the bar. They had music playing and the tvs on without sound. We were there about half an hour and then the party started to flow in.there were four of us. We ate conversed and asked for the tab. As we are paying like I’m literally signing the total and a blonde woman comes up to me and tells me that my voice is carrying and interrupting this party. Everyone looked at her because we couldn’t even hear ourselves over this track party. Yet you could hear them all the way in the bathroom. Either way between the 4 of us we spent $200 and our friends used to go there at least twice a week and after this they aren’t going back and neither will we! Oscar I believe was the bartender and he was awesome. Come to find out this blond woman is the owner!! Well she just lost 4 locals.
