We recently tried out the newly opened Tandoori Pizzaria in Brentwood, and it turned out to be a delightful experience for our taste buds. We ordered a small tandoori pizza, small garlic cheese bread, and a mix of tandoori and achari chicken wings.
The small tandoori pizza was great. Topped with tandoor chicken, onions, parsley, and scallions, it was a flavorful twist on the classic pizza. Notably, it wasn't overly spicy, making it accessible for all palates. The crust had the perfect balance, offering a nice bite that complemented the toppings well.
The garlic cheese bread, ordered for our son, was a hit. It was the ideal combination of cheesy goodness and garlic flavor. A simple yet satisfying addition to our meal.
The chicken wings came in two varieties - tandoori and achari. The tandoori wings packed a spicy punch, while the achari wings had a delightful kick to them. Both were well-cooked and seasoned, showcasing the diversity of flavors.
The pros of our experience included the delicious pizza, attentive customer service, and the owner's friendliness. It's evident that they take pride in their food and want customers to have a positive dining experience.
However, the absence of background music was a slight drawback. Although they had the game on with volume, some tunes would have enhanced the overall ambiance. Additionally, we were informed that the beer selection was temporarily unavailable due to pending permits. This was a minor inconvenience, but we appreciated the transparency about the situation.
In summary, Tandoori Pizza is a welcomed addition to Brentwood's culinary scene. As a family that loves Indian food and has missed the unique experience of Indian pizza since leaving San Jose, we are excited to have found a place that brings these flavors to our new neighborhood. Despite the small hiccups, the positives outweighed the negatives, and we look forward to returning for more tasty pizzas and...
Read moreWe finally decided to give this place a try. I've been hesitant because I usually lean towards traditional pizza when I am in tge mood for pizza. It's also on the higher end for pricing for takeout pizza and I didn't want to spend too much "trying" something new. Since we had to feed children as well, we ordered the Tikka Chicken and a traditional Pepperoni. From the first bite, you can taste the quality. This, combined with the generous toppings, justifies paying an increase over our typical range for takeout pizza. We enjoyed both kinds. The one child that tried the Tikka didn't care for it, but it's definitely different and may take a few tries for a budding food adventurer. It's also quite spicy, depending on your tolerance for heat. It is the kind of heat that creeps up on you, but it's a bit spicy on the front end, too. I don't recommend the fusion pizzas for those who cannot tolerate spicy food or can't eat it due to medical reasons. The traditional pizzas are very good and work great for mixed crowds. If I were to look for a criticism, it would be that tge pizzas are light on cheese. It's just enough to make the toppings stick. This was perfect on the Tikka. However, if someone is planning to "pick off" any toppings, there's not much left in terms of a slice of pizza. Fortunately, I had some mozzarella cheese at home and was able to add some and reward for those who picked off the pepperoni. Other than that, everything else was great! We look forward to trying another...
Read moreI’ve written a review before but love this place so much I had to write another. My boyfriend, skydiver friends and I have been eating here consistently (1-2 times a month) for the last two years after long weekends of jumping. One of the many reasons we love this place is because they use quality and clean ingredients that leave you feeling great later that day or the day after, no food hangover. Their beer selection is great too, tons of Altamont craft beer to choose from. On the rare chance there are leftovers, their pizza tastes just as good days later.
The butter chicken pizza is my favorite, the tandoori is a close second. we always get a large pizza with half butter chicken / tandoori and pepperoni. This pepperoni pizza is the BEST I’ve ever had, at any restaurant. We will continue to go to Tandoori Pizza in Brentwood as long as we live in the area.
The service is also next level! The family that owns the restaurant has the best customer service and quality of care. They are so knowledgeable about their product and make great recommendations. Every time my skydiver friends and I come in, they recognize us and spark up friendly conversation. Hands down the best pizza place in...
