Ameci Pizza Kitchen — Restaurant in Brentwood

The pizza is good and made in my preferred NY style. The atmosphere is more of a hole-in-the-wall take-out place. I've only seen younger employees. I'm sure one is likely an assistant manager, but it would be nice to see a full-time manager on the premises from time to time who can receive feedback to influence change. Other than the take-out atmosphere, my two biggest complaints are: 1) Price. One time they had a pretty good carryout special on Jumbo size. I asked how long it'd be around. The young man told me that they always have that special. The very next time I called, it was no longer offered. Overall, the prices are a bit high for mainly carryout or delivery quality pizza. 2) The 3rd party online ordering site. I hate it! I used it once, unwittingly, and paid triple for a carryout that was on special when I arrived. It doesn't reflect what the store offers and it's difficult to make corrections or changes once the order gas been submitted. I do not order online from anyplace that uses 3rd party sites. If I do, it's by mistake and I've regretted it...

Ordered online. Mistakes happened, and I ordered an item that I did not want. I called and asked if I could swap it out for what I had originally intended to get. I did not ask for a discount, I even offered to let him charge me more, even though what I had mistakenly ordered was more expensive than what I wanted. He was extremely rude and told me to pay more attention next time, was extremely exasperated, and told me that the price difference between the two items was completely different. (It was $1 difference, and I didn’t ask for any sort of refund. My mistake, I was 100% willing to pay the price of what I had originally ordered). Again, I understand being frustrated with me, but there was absolutely no need to be as rude as he was. I apologized multiple times, and even after all of that, he still was unbelievably...

This has been our go-to pizza place for 3 years since moving to Brentwood. We've always been impressed that the first few times we ordered (Hawaiian pizza (pre-COVID), the pineapple was fresh-cut, not canned🍍. 😋🤤 That's rare. Now, mid-COVID this place had some trouble with quality (as many places did -- likely trouble finding staff also), but we didn't give up on them and tried again and, while the pineapple was canned again, we all still thoroughly enjoyed it for my daughter's 9th bday choice...pineapple, Canadian bacon, and olives! And no skimping on topping quantity!

Just found out they've opened a seated lounge area with pool table, etc so will have to check that out one day. All-in-all, still our fav place and will return and...
