My husband & I have been here a total of five times.. We were happy about this place because we are from Texas & they were the only place around that sufficed to a “Tex-Mex” experience. Each time we always sat at the bar, however this time the bar was full & we were sat at a table in the main room with a view of the tortilla making, next to a 6 top. We were sat on a Thursday at approximately 5:27 PM. There were three tables total, a 8 top girl table who seemed done with their meal, a 6 top family who just started ordering & us. For 12 minutes, we sat with no acknowledgment from the server who was attending the 6 top next to us. Never got a drink order in/greeting from a server. TWELVE MINUTES… We kept an eye on the bar looking for free spaces at 5:40 PM, we got up & walked to the corner of the bar where two women were leaving. We took their places & the bartender Lauren made eye contact with us & failed to bus the bar in front of us. We sat there for 7 minutes (by now I was timing everything)… Lauren made eye contact with us two more times.. After my husband pushed everything to the front of the bar, she then bussed & came out from the bar to wipe the area without saying a word to us. NO GREETING. She placed menus in front of us without speaking & I had to ask “Your name?” & that’s when we learned she was Lauren. The worst attitude we have ever experienced in a restaurant. She took our drink & queso order & then eventually took our food order. We ordered Skirt Steak fajitas for one… The poor food runner came out with chicken & beef fajitas.. The food runner was confused & Lauren failed to acknowledge the order was wrong & never apologized. Very little communication came after we got our food & we quickly asked for the check, paid for the WRONG food items & left. We will never go back!! So disappointing. As a Texan we loved this place but unfortunately the bad service RUINED the food experience for us.

Read moreTook my family here because it was within walking distance to where we wanted to try first, but was unfortunately closed. When we walked in on 12/31, my wife and 3 children were excited to find a seat quickly. Took about 10min to even get someone to our table (wasn’t busy at all, but lady at the front door seemed “tired” so my guess is lack of energy from many that day). Gentleman finally arrived, and after another 10min, finally got some water and chips/salsa. I am a food critic, and I’d rate their salsa 6/10 (“smoke style”, dark, and slightly off texture - maybe something in the kitchen was off that day?). Food finally arrived (Guacamole, kids chicken tenders, soda (coke), bean and cheese burrito, steak fajita bowl, and southwestern Cobb salad. We paid $83.31 (check #80024, Table 61). The kids meal was DISGUSTING (chicken tenders and bean/cheese burrito). Our kids didn’t even eat it! EXTREMELY SMALL PORTION (highly recommend NOT bringing your kids here because their meals are meant for kids). My wife ate her salad and said it was disgusting, and the chicken tasted “raw” and “chewy” (she ate about 75% of the food). The fajita steak bowl was pretty decent (steak cooked at a perfect temp, around 130 degrees, and had a blended and perfect texture). The soda (coke) was FLAT - not sure how the waiter (Carey) didn’t say anything because it didn’t even look dark in appearance, or they all simply didn’t care. Either way, it was terrible. In my opinion, stay away. I tried calling about a refund but the lady hung up on me twice. When I asked to finically speak to the owner, I was “being transferred” and their phone line coincidentally lost connection. In my opinion, you will 100% waste your money, and I’d highly discourage anyone from eating there. I’m sure they have a few solid meals, and a nice alcohol selection, but I believe they need to reduce their menu, stick to what sells and has positive reviews, and remove the rest. My family and I won’t be going there again, nor can I recommend any of my corporate teams to try this place out. Do I believe I might personally try it again BY MYSELF? Yes. But I won’t waste an entire family trip. I provided feedback on their payment device too, and hoping this review finds its way to their management team so I can get a refund back (minus the tip to Carey - he deserved...
Read moreUpdate. Visited again Friday evening to give another chance. They dropped the ball twice in the same 4 day period. Rude is an understatement. Take out this time. Called in and put on hold 25+ minutes. Then another employee answered and was Rude as well. Ordered Steak Fajitas for two and Chicken fajitas for 1. We were disappointed that we got child's or small portions of meet, 4 tortillas for each dinner and a lot of Rude treatment from employees at restaurant. We could not use our Free Tableside guacamole because we refused to dine in like Tuesday. Stay away unless you enjoy being treated bad. Spent $80 for this and $50 3 days prior
We visited this location last night as part of our "Date Night" for .my wife and I. We just had came out of a great movie in Green Hills drove all the way to Brentwood and chose this restaurant. We arrived in the door before 8:20. They are open until 9 pm. We were waiting to get a table and were told we could sit at bar even though tables were open. Attitudes if hosts were horrible. We said we wanted a table and they said We are about to close. They still had 40 min. It took a while for them to talk with supervisor or 2 and then gave us a booth. They brought out Cold Greasy chips that were nasty. We asked for fresh hot ones only to be told thier warmers were broke so could not give us fresh. We ordered drinks(3 cokes and 2 waters) server brought both water and coke to wife but only water for me and got upset once asked about coke.We said we would order cheese dip and it was hot 🔥. Then we ordered Fajitas for 1 to share. We received Cold meat in skillet with no steam rising, cold tortillas, cold rice and cold beans. Meat raw and not hot or cooked hardly at all. We were sad to see those in booth across from us get piping hot fajitas with steam rising high. We were not even there 10-15 min and we were approached 2 times asking to remove dishes. I told them sure, after we eat and leave. Hosts and server and kitchen people did not appreciate us as customers and seemed to want to single us out and force us out after only sitting down. We still left before they closed, but felt ripped off to spend $50 for...
