I love bracken mountain!! One of my favorite bakerys in NC. Fresh delicious breads and pastries serves warm. My favorites are the blue cheese bacon pecan flatbread and theor homemade english muffins. The atmosphere is peaceful in here and they keep you laughing with all the hilarious and "punny" pictures hanging on the wall. Do your self a favor and stop here for a coffee and pastry, then grab a loaf or flatbread to take home, as well as a dog biscuit!

Well, we just moved to Brevard and are so happy to have found this wonderful bakery. The bread is fantastic, particularly the sourdough and the very authentic croissants. But, my personal favorites are the whole grain English Muffins (see photo). They may be one of the best baked products I've ever eaten, just fantastic. I have one with my morning coffee each day!

OMG! The variety of baked goods and breads are amazing, but you gotta be there early before they sell out. Coffee is from a local roaster and compliments the sweet goods any time of day. They have a few cafe tables inside for seating and a early rise, friendly staff ready to serve you. Don’t be surprised if you have to wait in line, even at 7am.

Walked in on February 4th and my first thoughts were wow this place is small. Second thought was the lighting was really bad. Then I saw the case the food was in. It was low, not very well lit, and the signs for the bakery items not big enough to easily make them out. I ordered a plain croissant, and cinnamon nut croissant( kind of disappointed the did not have any chocolate croissants), and blueberry scone. My friend ordered an apple turnover. I tried the plain croissant and it was everything I thought in my head a croissant would be. Buttery, flaky, it had a ton of layers, crispy. Really good. It went great with coffee. The cinnamon nut croissant was even better - but then again I am a huge cinnamon lover so it doesn't take much there to win me over. So 2 / 2 so far. I tried the blueberry scone. And well, it is not good. Its very doughy and not in a good way. Like the dough has zero flavor. Its not sweet. There is no salt. If you didn't get a bite of blueberry it would be a very bad bite. Its not good at all. 2/5 on that. So 2 / 3 so far. The apple turnover has yet to be tried. But overall not a bad bakery. The price was around $3-4 per item. Not bad considering the amount of work that goes into making a croissant. Scones not so much but the croissants are a pain to make. So I'm not going to ding them on that. Overall a 4 for me. I wouldn't get the...

Wow! Best bakery we have been to in ages and we have visited many. Bracken Mountain Bakery was the most pleasant find on our five day stay in Brevard, NC. Chanced upon it while biking through town and bought a cherry chocolate scone, a bear claw, and took two very large cookies (white squirrel and chocolate chip) with us back to our campground. Everything was so delicious we rode our bikes 6 miles back two days later, just for the bakery. Loaded up on four more scones and six cookies. If you like good fresh baked with all natural ingredients, items, this is the place to stop. The staff was efficient and friendly and their prices were lower than any bakery we have visited. The size of every item was large. Nothing was overly sweet, which we appreciated, and still taste great the day after (as I sit at our campsite eating the last bite of my scone). The whole town and area is wonderful but it is Bracken Mountain Bakery that will bring us back from...

The BEST bread and pastries in town!

The scones are delicious, my favorite is dried cherry.

The cookies are amazing, try the snickerdoodles.

The breads are top-notch, try baby Sicilian on Saturday, baguettes all day... also excellent are the flatbreads like spinach artichoke or striata.. I recommend bringing some home to heat up, but I also liked sitting there with coffee and a scone.

Bottom line: you can't go wrong here

Also for doggos, tasty biscuits. They come to the door and wait expectantly. Very cute.

Super friendly staff, amazing bakers, good prices. Can't say enough good things...
