We were really looking forward to having lobster. Called to place an order for pick-up, but they were sold out of lobster. The girl talked me into ordering three lobster rolls instead. We also ordered steamers and clam chowder. Picked up the order close to their closing time. Get to our house and open everything. It all looked great, the clam chowder was delicious, as were the steamers.
Then it came time for the lobster rolls. They looked amazing, so much lobster meat. Yet to our huge disappointment, they were completely inedible. All three were the most disgusting rolls we've ever had in our lives. And that is saying a whole lot. The meat was undercooked. Not only that, it was completely soaked in excessive amounts of mayo and lemon, to the point that we couldn't even taste the lobster itself, just the mayo and lemon. The tiny pieces of bread under the lobster were so soaked in mayo, they were completely falling apart, with puddles of mayo on the bottom. I don't understand how anyone could take so much lobster meat and make it completely inedible. It's just sad. So we spent all this money and couldn't even eat this trash, it tasted so horrible. Plus, couldn't even call to complain because they were closed. And to the owner, who I'm sure is going to reply to this, we were too busy the next day to bother to deal with this, which we shouldn't have to do in the first place. It shouldn't have happened to begin with. For whoever made these "lobster rolls", thanks for ruining our dinner.
Update In response to the unbelievable and shocking lies the owner wrote, I actually find what you made up hilarious. I specifically asked the girl on the phone not to put lettuce or celery on the rolls. The steamers were available at 7:30pm on September 6th when I placed the order. Calling me a bot is even more hilarious because bots don't write reviews like mine, and certainly don't respond to businesses' outrageous responses. As for my account, I am obviously a local guide and have hundreds of reviews with half a million views, so don't even try it buddy. Grow up and take responsibility for your disgusting food. If you don't put lemon on your rolls, then I don't know what to tell you, I'm not a chef that specializes in identifying flavors by taste. It tasted like lemon, but perhaps the taste was something worse, possibly rotting old lobster meat? Regardless, get over it. This is my review, your food is atrocious, so deal with it, take responsibility, and do better, instead of attacking each person for leaving a bad review. This is America and our right to have freedom of speech and review food accordingly. I don't even know why anyone would make up such a long and specific review in the first place, but sure, you go ahead and keep lying and attacking people. Makes you look real mature and great as an owner of a restaurant. See who wants to eat there after they see the way you treat people and taste the trash...
Read moreOn Sunday, September 7th, 2025, I telephoned JT's Seafood Restaurant and ordered two fisherman's platters and two clam chowders for take-out. The young woman who took the order was extremely professional, pleasant, kind, caring, and helpful. The order was ready, as promised, about fifteen minutes later when I arrived. My last visit to JT's was about two years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the renovations and major upgrades at the restaurant. The new easy-to-read interior lighted menu board immediately caught my attention. It's a real eye catcher! What a great and attractive upgrade! The interior and exterior of JT's, as usual, was pristine and immaculately, sparkling clean. Everything is spotlessly clean! The owner takes such great care and pride of his establishment, and it really shows. I am sure he is proud of all his accomplishments and years of hard work. The young woman who assisted me with my order was once again extremely pleasant, cheerful, thankful and most professionally helpful. How refreshing to see a smiling face from a hard-working young person! When I arrived home, I could not believe the massive portions of golden-brown seafood! It seemed like each platter weighed about four pounds! As it indicates on the menu, "serves two." Indeed, it does, and them some! (I actually enjoyed a total of four meals from these two fisherman's platters!) A extremely great value when shared with another. The tender, moist, slightly-crispy fish pieces, the succulent tasty bountiful sea scallops, the sweet whole-belly fried clams, and the extra-large mouthwatering shrimp were all cooked to golden-brown fried perfection! Most impressive is the fact that all this delicious seafood is not greasy! I was and still am in awe about the gigantic portions of seafood. It was literally a massive about of delicious golden-friend seafood! The meals also came with lemon wedges, fresh homemade coleslaw, tasty and creamy tarter sauce, crispy and delicious French fries, and perfectly-cooked not-too-thin crispy onion rings. What an amazing mouthwatering feast! The creamy clam chowder was also an experience to die for! I really must highly commend and sincerely compliment the owner, chef, and the entire JT's work staff for providing such an memorable and enjoyable dining experience. The entire experience was above and beyond expectations. If you're really hungry (and want to share this huge meal) and want to enjoy some amazing golden-fried delicious seafood, then look no further than JT's Seafood Restaurant. It will be an amazing culinary experience that you will never forget! You certainty won't be disappointed and you'll certainly have your delicious and mouthwatering fill of Cape Cod's...
Read moreWe were camping in Brewster and I’ve been to JT‘s before. Food is very good. Service is good. The ice cream is extremely good. A freak pop-up storm dumped about an inch and a half of rain on our campsite. Our tents were filled with water and mud. we ended up having to go to Orleans to a laundromat to clean all of our things. We had been cooking all our meals at the campsite and going out for desserts. Because of the storm we’re not able to cook our own food and got to JT‘s about a half hour before the kitchen closed for the evening. My wife had the salmon which was very good and my friend had the lobster roll. Also outstanding . However, I split the fisherman‘s platter with my friend’s wife, and when it came out, it was a site to behold very big stacked up high all fried. It looks very impressive upon further inspection. We realize that everything was overcooked, and it appeared that everything had been cooked in the oil that had been Used all day or even multiple days. Everything was overcooked very dark brown color and had an offputting taste a number of things in the display of seafood were cold. Onion rings were cold. Shrimp was overcooked. The scallops were fine. We were tired at the end of the day and didn’t make a fuss but when we woke up the next morning to have breakfast together, the topic of the moment was the overcooked seafood how disappointing it was. It would appear that they needed to change their grease but because of late at night, they decided not to do it, very disappointed. We took a bike ride around Brewster on the bike trails and ended up back the next day for ice cream and the service and the ice cream or spectacular I had been to Brewster many times over the last 15 years and eaten at JT’s without exception the food was wonderful not sure what happened with the seafood platter. It wasn’t up to their standard of high-quality. We will be back to JT’s. We’re hoping that was a...
