MJ's food is always good. My husband had the Reuben. It came with a generous portion of crispy fries and a pickle. It's my husband's favorite dish, when at a restaurant, and a good Reuben will make or break our decision on the experience. He was very pleased with his Reuben at MJ's. It was a huge, open-faced sandwich with plenty of corned beef, saurkraut, and Swiss cheese. He did request more Russian dressing (his personal preference). He ate it all up and said it was great. I had the veggie wrap. It came with fries and a pickle, too. I chose the sundried tomato wrap. It was warm, juicy, and delicious. It was packed with several veggies and cheese. The flavor of the wrap was completed with balsamic vinegar. It was quite yummy, and I would definitely order again. The restaurant was very busy, and that also made it pretty loud. We also went on a Saturday night, so we were treated with a live band. The band was excellent and played lots of familiar music from the 60s, 70s, & 80s. We enjoyed the music, but our one recommendation to the management would be to ask that the volume be lowered a bit. It's not a huge space, and the acoustics are lacking. That means that if you need to communicate at all, with the waitress or anyone else, you will have to yell. That gets old pretty quickly. We like to chat a little while we're enjoying a night out, but it wasn't possible; and we were sitting in the front of the room, in a booth, with a partial wall between us and the band in the back of the room. Don't get me wrong. The band was excellent, the choice of music was great. It was just too loud for that space if anyone wants a "date night" experience. It would be good if they could turn down the volume a little so patrons can talk to each other. Service was good. Our waitress was polite, attentive, and brought our food as soon as it was ready. Everything was hot and delicious. We will go back, because, other than the noise level this week, we...
Read moreI’m was eating at MJ’s on 70. We asked if they could put the coverage of the attempted assasination of Trump on. They put it on. Fast forward 20 minutes later, the worker said she’s goin have to turn it off bc there was a customer who didn’t want it on. I’m sorry, move her seat to the other side where she can’t see it.
Then Heather responds to me”It’s a family restaurant that involved more than just one table not wanting to see it. The waitress wanted to accommodate the request however once what was being shown was seen, it was turned off of our TVs. There was a sporting event on that was interrupted by the breaking news, it was left on for a short period of time and then removed. A bar/restaurant is never a place for politics. Always the number one rule. No politics and no religion.”
And I responded “ Heather Antino huh? Other tables were tuned in too. Only 2 people were having a tantrum with you and the waitress. Tell yourself whatever you have to. Just be honest. It’s world news and it was breaking at that time. It’s not a usual day in politics. People wanted to hear what happened no matter what side of the aisle they’re on. You could’ve easily accomadated the 2 by moving their table. There were plenty of empty tables since it was dead in there. Now I understand why it’s not as busy as it used to be since you started there. Anyways, peace out, you just lost this...
Read moreWe love coming here for football, both college and NFL. They always have all the games on with sound and it is always a great atmosphere. It is super fun and chill, making you want to stick around for another drink even after finishing your food. Servers are always happy to see you, and when it isn't too busy, they take their time making conversation and enjoy your company.
The food comes out quickly after ordering and has always been delicious! We have had the Bavarian Pretzel, Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Cheesesteak, and Sushi! All of them have been delicious. My husband was really impressed with the quality of the roll for the cheesesteak, plus he really loves it when they use actual cheese instead of cheese whiz! It is not a place you would typically think of when wanting sushi, but it's really good! They have a sushi chef and bar, so everything is really fresh. There are lots of roll options, and you won't be disappointed.
If you're looking for a chill place to watch some sports and chill, MJ's...
