Bob Evans — Restaurant in Bridgeton

We are staying at the hotel next door and eat here daily. Staff is always smiling,friendly and courteous and food was always good. This was not the case today! We ordered on the Bob Evans app to be picked up. I walked in and staff wouldn't even acknowledge me. I patiently waited till one of them said "did you need something"? I said yes I have a Togo and all 3 of them looked at me like I was crazy and said "we're not doing to go oders"🥺ummmm ok I said we'll ok but I paid for it,as they were running around taking care of the customers that were dinning in they said we canceled all door dash orders you'll get a refund....they wouldn't even look me in the eye and stand still and explain the situation or apologize. I didn't order on door dash. They completly ignored me and continued checking out the dine in customers smiling and politely asking how their meal was while I got ignored and barked at like I did something wrong! I just stood there in shock for 10 minutes when they finally said they had my order and it would be a few minutes. I waited for almost 20 minutes for 2 blt so from the time I ordered online till I got my food was almost an hour. She basically threw it at me and said were out of cold slaw lol I said ok she said we have home fries ready or you can wait for ff. I don't like home fries but took them just so I could be done with this horrible experience!!! I am a waitress have been for 15 years I understand what it's like to be short handed ay work but i would never treat any of my customers the way they treated me today!!!...

Placed a "to-go" order. Arrived 10 minutes later than they said it would be ready. I approached cashier and took place in line. I could see my order on the counter in a bag but there was 2 couples ahead of me and chaos behind the counter. It was incomprehensible how long it took to ring out the 2 couples ahead. They were simply trying to pay the bill from their sit in meal. 8 minutes and I finally was handed my bag. I asked for a to-go menu. The cashier looked at me as if I had asked in a foreign language. He turned to ask a few other employees and they ignored him. So he replied "we don't have those". I then asked if they had pumpkin pancakes. Pumpkin cookies, bread and pie were sitting next to counter in ready to purchase boxes yet he replied "pumpkin pancakes aren't on the menu". I'm not a chef nor do I work there, but I just couldn't conceive how they prepare 3 other pumpkin flavored items but "can't" find a way to accommodate. I mean pumpkin to cookies✔️, bread✔️, pie✔️, but pancakes ❌.? He proceeded to ring up order and I left. He was far more congenial than all other employees but not in any resemblance remarkable. Granted they were busy but It was far past their typical breakfast rush hours. All items were carefully packed in my bag. But by time I got to my car, all was cold. And cold items were packed in same bag with hot items. The order I picked up was for a client. I did want to place an order for myself but since the experience wasn't favorable and no pumpkin pancakes, I instead ordered...

It was our last night in st louis before flying home and my family wanted to go out to dinner. After some searching for restaurants in the area we found Bob Evans. There was a couple cars in the lot when we pulled in and thought that maybe the food isnt all that good because the restaurants surrounding Bob Evans were jam packed. Well, we were hungry and i said we're going here because i wasnt in the mood to wait (hangry setting in) lol. We walked in and was immediately greeted and seated. The waitres, (i wish i could remember her name) was super nice and very friendly. I ordered the butter/honey drizzled chicken wit biscuits and mashed potatoes, my wife ordered the BLT, and my daughter ordered the grilled chicken wit fries. Our order came out in a timely manner, and it was presented well on the plate. The cook takes pride in his work and i admire him for that. Alot of places just throw your meal on a plate and keep it moving onto the next order, but this wasnt the case here. Needless to say our meal was awesome! The food had great taste, our drinks were good and the service was top notch. If we ever make it back to St. louis, Bob Evans is gonna be one...
