I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this place; I was positive I did it years ago. This is our (husband and I) favorite Mexican restaurant and actually our favorite place in the area. The service is always good, unlike many Bridgeton/St. Ann restaurants we've been to. Today it was absolutely perfect. Their presentation is pretty nice, too. The chips are kept warm, free refills on them, and the salsa is good. My go-to is the fish tacos; they're delicious--the fish, the mango, and the chipotle aioli. It's not mentioned on the menu, but you can have corn or flour tortillas. I've also had the mariachi burrito a few times, as well as the queso, the choriqueso, and the sopapilla--all great. I've wanted to try other entrees, but every time I'm in there, the fish tacos are calling me! The queso was a little thin, at least today, which made it drip a lot on it's way to the mouth, but it was still tasty. My husband used to get a quesadilla, which he liked, but he switched to the mariachi fajitas, and he's in love. The meat (steak, chicken, shrimp) is all so good, especially the shrimp. I may try the shrimp tacos next time, because the shrimp from my husband's plate is so fantastic. We brought another couple from St. Charles once, and they later told me they went back on their own, because it was so good. We've also brought a couple other individuals, and they loved it, too. The only thing we're not such a fan of are the beans; it'd be nice if they switched them out for another. But when we ask, they have let us change our bean side to extra rice, a salad, or extra sour cream. We have and will keep coming back here time and time again. They never seem busy, we hope they're doing well financially, because we don't want...

Food was good. Service ok. They included 18% tip(I was going to tip 15% I usually do 20%).Then there was a space for a tip. When asked about it the manager stated that it is automatic input on everyone's ticket and it can't be removed. I told her that policy was not displayed when we entered. I asked her what if I had terrible service. She said the owner knows all of her employees and the kind of work the do. I told her since I was the only black person in there I feel like I was racially profiled. She assured me that that was not the case. When I asked for the owners number she left to get it. On the register was about 15 different credit card receipts. WALA! None of them had the 18% gratuity included. Every one of them chose their own amount. Even with the proof in her face she still continued to lie. I said to her you should be ashamed of yourself. You are Hispanic and know how...

I recently called in a carry-out order with El Mariachi Loco Cantina. The process of ordering went smoothly, and our order was ready within 15 minutes, as promised. My wife selected a taco salad, and was very please with the ratio of lettuces & beef, and the taste of the large shell. I ordered a beef chimichanga and it was delicious. The prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed the food well enough to repeat the process 2 weeks later. This time, my wife once again got a taco salad, and I picked the beef enchiladas dinner. It came with beans, rice, and white cheese sauce on the side. It also had some shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and a dab of sour cream. These were the best tasting enchiladas I've ever had, and I've been to Mexico 7 times. We're probably going to have lunch there and eat in. This restaurant is another "keeper" for us. Portions are generous, and prices won't...

I've heard nothing but amazing things and always wanted to come here. It lived up to the hype with possibly the best queso I've had in St Louis. The portions are huge as well. I was too hungry for street tacos since I expected the puny ones served everywhere else. The burrito I got instead filled the large plate and was smothered in that amazing queso. My gf got her favorite, al pastor tacos, which it turned out are also enormous. There were big chunks of fresh pineapple and sizable pieces of pork. She could barely finish it all. We were already planning our next visit before we even tasted the food.

Now I understand why the parking lot is always empty …. The food has no love in it. The salsa taste like spaghetti sauce … the rice was HARD and just weird … I’m not sure how you don’t know how to make RICE . … enchiladas verdes was DRY and had no flavor , beans were ok (lacked flavor) . So disappointing for our first time here . The margaritas were very sour , deff pre mixed. Least authentic Mexican food I’ve had in awhile . I will say the consommé and salsa verde was delicious and full of flavor . I’d deff say the cook has lost their passion or just doesn’t know the essentials .

Was my 1st time going here. Small menu makes it easy to choose. I definitely went outside my comfort zone and ordered something new. Which i was super happy i did because this was amazing. Im a sucker for grilled pineapple and this hit all my boxes. Sweet savory spicy deliciousness the chips and salsa was excellent. I cant wait to come here again. Next time i am for sure ordering a margarita. They only come in one size, but trust me, its all you need. If i could rate this place with more stars i would. Great find. Absolutely satisfying❣
