Just spent a HALF HOUR-a full 30 minutes- sitting in the bathroom because nobody could bring me soap.
I walked in, and BEFORE I even started shopping, we went to the bathroom in the front. I used the toilet, then went to wash my hands and the battery was dead on the soap dispenser. I flagged another customer outside the bathroom and told her I needed help, and she told a target associate near the registers, presumably the manager (mind you, this is 9 am on a Monday and very slow in the store, with hardly anyone ringing out). She tells him the soap is out, and before I could explain it was the battery, he walks away to customer service to tell someone to get soap...
I waited TWENTY MINUTES and nobody came. The target associate walks back from STARBUCKS with his DRINK, and looks at me trying to wave him down again, and I expressed that I need soap. He goes "nobody came?" And I go "NO! I just need to get some soap. I'm about to grab soap off the shelf myself", and I couldn't even get a chance to explain it was the battery again before he's walking away, saying "you could have used the other bathroom" which I said "Sir, I've already gone, I just need to wash my hands!" (Not to mention ... How rude to say that to a customer sitting and waiting in a bathroom while you're getting your Starbucks order.) If he had just walked up to me and asked what I needed, I could have explained it was out of battery, but no. I couldn't even get him to come up to the bathroom and talk to me!
He comes back another SIX MINUTES later with a bag of soap, then goes "oh it's the battery. " In my head, I'm like I KNOW! but honestly by this point, my 2 year was crawling on the floor and my 2 month old was crying in his carseat, so after another couple minutes, he comes back with batteries and another associate comes back with soap from the shelf, so I washed my hands and left WITHOUT shopping, because now I spent a whole half hour in the bathroom and my baby is crying. So yeah. I'm a...
Read moreThis store is an utter disgrace to the Target brand. Boxes upon boxes of merchandise needing to be stocked litter the floor. But no one around to actually put the product out. Carts of restock everywhere. Empty store shelves. Expired refrigerated goods. The store looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. Long checkout lines due to only having one cashier. No one at Guest Services.
It is quite evident the store needs help but at some point the Leaders need to held responsible. Please bring in people that care. People that want to help others. People that take pride in their job. Leaders that care about their store and care about guest experience.
Target Corp., give this store the resources it so desperately needs. Pay overtime if you have to. Float workers from other stores. Innovative in the hiring space; much like you did with the shopping experience.
Remember what differentiates you from your competitor down the street. When we, as guest, are provided with a pleasant shopping experience, we care less about the prices on the label because it's about the experience as a whole.
Target Guests, this store is part of our community and we should care about it's success. Don't throw trash around. Pick merchandise up off the floor. Put products back where they belong. Don't leave open products on the shelves. Be kind to each others and especially to those...
Read moreThe store is always well stocked, they generally don't get many Target exclusive new issue blu-rays and dvd's so you will want to get there early on the first day of issue if it's important to get the bonus item. They usually don't have enough cashiers and, more importantly, cashiers who know what they're doing. I found myself in the self-serve checkout area. I hate the self-service lines and this one at this time really sucked. The middle-aged male passive-aggressive teammate warched me struggle with the checkout process and made no effort to assist me. The credit/debit machine display kept flashing some message that it was waiting to process. Nothing happened. After two or three minutes I turned around and stared at the associate who starred right back. When I asked him why I was waiting here, he walked over, leaving no doubt that he was doing me a favor by coming over and forcefully pushing the PAY button on the main screen. I guess getting customers through the self serve checkout quickly and efficiently isn't in his wheel house. Serving customers (the reason for his employment) doesn't seem to be his forte. I won't be using the selfserve lane in this Target ever again no matter how long the...
