The food is... White Castle. That should say it all. Either you like it or you don't. I happen to like it so I go back despite what I'm going to say next.
Service, this location used to be very, very slow every time I stop in for something. This time, they made that service look like it was super speed. Every time I've ever gone to White Castle, just like Pizza Hut, they managed to get something wrong with the order. I'm not talkin a complicated order. I'm talkin a sack of 10 cheeseburgers with extra onions and extra pickles. I grant you extra onions and extra pickles may not not be the standard order but it should happen often enough they should get it correct. Not leave out the pickles all together and or not put on the onions in. And when you order the cheese sacks it should be standard to get a mixture of cheese flavors, Smokey cheddar, American, jalapeno, special cheese flavor they have of the day. This last time I didn't want to get without pickles so I didn't ask for extra pickles. I didn't want to get without onions. So I didn't ask for extra onions. I just asked for a normal variety of cheese on the hamburgers. As I said above, I ordered online so they have it in writing. I still managed to walk out of there with 8 American cheese one smokey cheddar and one jalapeno. My written order was for four smokey cheddar cheese, four jalapeno cheese and two with American cheese
Employees, this last visit they seemed like they were all newbies, including the manager. In the past, I've got time to stand in line, order online, and have my order ready when I arrived to the front of the line.
This time I arrived at the front of the line. I announce to the cashier I had an online order. She told me how much it was I paid for it. She then went to the back and found the manager, announced that I was the guy that ordered the 10 cheeseburgers online.
Only upon my arrival, to the front of the line, did they start my order. I then had to wait for the order as if I had simply ordered it right then, right there at the front of the line. AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!
If the other White Castles are like this one soon, very soon, White Castle will be out of business like some of the other storied businesses, like Sears, like Kmart, and so many others that haven't managed to adapt is the internet age.
I'll be very sad to see them go.
(Anyone under the age of 40 know what a...
Read moreThis is the saddest managed White Castle I have ever visited!!!, there were only 2 employees working( a young man working the grill & a female working the drive-thru & front counter). The female was extremely slow taking my order of only 3 drinks. There was an older gentleman behind me who shook his head & commented that it didn't make sense for them to be sooo slow!! & that it didn't make any difference what time U came, U would always be waiting. He commented that U could order 200 White Castles in the morning & U wouldn't get them until 8 pm that night. The female taking my order seemed to not have a clue what she was doing & the grill man was chewing her out because a customer at the drive-thru had ordered cheeseburgers & he had told her that they were out of cheese( how did that happen??🤔 poor Mgmt.). The girl gave me 3 cups & then forgot to have me pay until I told her that I still had to pay for my drinks, she then proceeded to forget giving me my receipt🙄. I proceeded to make my drinks at the beverage machine, but everything that I wanted was "unavailable ", so I asked the girl if they were out of the flavors I was trying to get & she honestly didn't know & asked me what the machine said & I told her unavailable, so she said yes, they were out, so I told her that they would have to give me a refund & the young man working the grill told her to give me drinks from the machine behind the counter🙄. In the meantime another Male employee came in with his jeans hanging down to his knees & the female proceeded to hold up 2 fingers letting him know that he was supposed to be there at 2pm & it was going on 4pm( What other company do U know of that would allow their employees to come to work 2 hrs. late??). The female barely had any ice behind the counter & asked the young man who had come in late if he would get her some. I did not see a Mgr. anywhere & I think the older gentleman who was waiting behind me ended up leaving. There is no excuse for a business running like this. U may not have the best job or best pay, but have pride in urself & what ur doing!!! U never know who may be watching who might be able to help U attain something better! If U treat customers like dirt, how do U expect them to...
Read moreOk, so im not really sure how to rate this particular location. Honestly, I've had good and bad. The last 3 times were horrible!.... And it was service these last 2 times, and the food the time before those. Last time ( several months ago), the lady taking order was very crabby because people called off. Which is understandable. But what is not acceptable is taking it out on the customer. We can only be forgiving for so much. This time. It's 3:14 am. No one is in sight. I litterly sat at intercom for at least 9 minutes after a few i was saying hello? Hello? I tried to call 2 xs. Nothing. So as i was leaving. They apparently answered for the car behind me. So, I just swallowed my frustration and drove around again. Placed my order and waited a good minute for my food. And went home.. * So I have come back and edited this review** Above is still true. I have lupus, and I am in the middle of a flare-up, to which im having food sensitivity. Unfortunately, the texture and smell of meat are what is setting me off. But I was craving whites so badly. Let me say this. THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. When we were done eating, we both had wished we ordered more! it was that delicious. The buns were soft. The meat was hot, and the fries actually had cheese! The shake was perfect. Not to thick but not runny at all. Meal was perfect minus us, apparently wishing we ordered more. So Im torn . I'm still not sure if it was a fluke, but it gave this location another chance vs. when i started this review and decided to avoid this...
