Steck's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Bridgewater Township

They don't know how make Reubens. I asked about French Fries they don't make them every Deli I been too has French Fries. I got Reuben and I told her how like it and she like that not Reuben she said it slope joe. I said it Reuben- with either pastrami or corned beef and sauerkraut and Swiss cheese and I either get Russian dressing or thousand island dressing on it. Didn't have any of that on it just some meat. Italian subs have hardly oil and vinegar and Oregano on it. Very disappointing they slow and take for every to take your order. It's ran by different people. My Brother said they used to be great but not anymore. It cost me 67.00 for five sandwiches that wasn't great won't be getting my business anymore. I can go Shoprite and get better sub for my money. Over priced. I rather get my sandwiches and wraps from Joe's Meat Market in...

I’ll flat out mention. I am not a big sandwich guy. When I do crave a sandwich I prefer an authentic deli, such as this one. I also like to choose something from the menu that I may never usually order just to try it out. A little risky but life‘s too short to pick the same things all the time. In this case I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich that was on the special of the day. It was good not great. The reason I left a four star instead of a five star. Maybe it’s just that it’s not my thing. Or that I wasn’t very impressed with the rye bread. Nonetheless the overall experience at Stecks never disappoints. First time visiting this deli and it didn't disappoint. First, during a usual lunch rush, I didn't have to wait but a minute to order my roast beef & muenster sandwich. It was ready really quickly, it was inexpensive and it was delicious! But what really impressed me about this place was their generosity. There was an older woman in line ahead of me, she didn't have alot of money with her & she asked if she could come back to pay. The staff didn't blink and eye and right away said "We've got you. No need. It's on us." And honestly, it was really heartwarming to witness the kindness of people who do things like that so selflessly and generously. They've made me a loyal customer today.
