I had read that this place was the "best Mexican food" in Brighton, and as you know there are about 38 restaurants in this small town for Mexican food. I personally was only impressed that there were not a lot of people, and the carne-asada was seasoned well but other than that it wasn't worth the 40 minute drive, nor was I satisfied food-wise. The plate I got was a $16.45 carne-asada plate which was small, the serving size was only able to consume two tacos worth which isn't even a meal, that's more of an appetizer and it cost as much as a five-star meal. Everything else was basic, the rice, the lettuce and beans, and the service was "OK" until the end when the waitress disappeared with my credit card and took over 20 minutes to charge my card and bring it back to me for a signature. The atmosphere was open and basic seating but didn't have a traditional vibe or really any sort of "authentic" vibe at all, and from the outside you would not know this is a Mexican restuarant. I left feeling very hungry for what I had just paid for myself and a guest to eat ($46) and ended up going to Mcdonalds to get 2 cheeseburgers to fill me.
The waitress was nice and friendly but to be served such a small plate and only two tortillas isn't good enough to call it a meal nor was it worth $16.45 for one person.
Unfortunately, I will never go back to this place, despite it being a basic place and nothing really wrong except the price, the serving size and the atmosphere being a little off.
I guess Brighton needs to get some better restaurants or reviewers because I definitely felt like I...
Read moreThe food was good but...the place was a bit messy. Menus or staff personal items all over a couple tables. The service is maybe the worst we have experienced. We ordered two orders of guacamole and chips. They brought three then charged for three which seemed like a racket. They did not refund the money but offered something to go like horchata which we said ok to. They brought lemonade instead which we noticed after leaving. Margaritas are good but mostly ice and With only a few sips of the drink. Prices are really high for what you get. A thin churro for 3.50? Waited at least an hour for our food. Then they brought one plate and minutes passed before anything else came. And they brought one person’s food at a time. They brought one tostada with the wrong toppings on it. Then they mixed up the orders on two combo plates. Never corrected anything. No drink refills offered. When we asked for the horchata she said okay, horchata! Then brought lemonade. I don’t know how someone forgets in the 30 seconds it took to walk to the beverage station. Unreal. Won’t go back. You’d think people would care more about their business with so few people going...
Read moreThis restaurant is a must!!!! We accidentally came across it on our way out of town. We usually go through the drive thru at a competitor for breakfast burritos on the way out of town but they were closed so we ended up here. The parking can be a lot tricky but we did get a spot. It was was a small place but not crowded. We were immediately greeted with a smile by Vanessa who was very friendly. Our waitress Esther was very busy yet kind and attentive. We ordered the breakfast burritos smothered. The cream sauce was amazing! And the green chili was very good. We also ordered the chilequiles and…OMG they were so good. The prices are comparable to other Mexican food restaurants. This will be a new favorite for us when we are in the area. They have just celebrated 10 years of service and I can’t even believe we haven’t found them before now! I highly...
