Rude owner and extremely slow service. I am a single parent, just moved to the area and came in here before alone, but today, came in for the first time with my INFANT and 4 Year old to grab breakfast before going to the playground. We came in hungry and then we were seated almost immediately, but after about 25 minutes food had still not arrived. The waitress popped by to say there were still two tickets ahead of ours. I decided to cancel our order and leave. Before leaving, I mentioned it to the owner. Rather than being apologetic told me that I shouldn’t bring my kids in if we need to eat quickly because it’s not “a fast food restaurant” and we shouldn’t get any special priority over anyone else just because they are kids. 1) I hadn’t asked for special priority, (but other restaurants we ate at in Denver would gladly fire a kids meal ahead of the entire order of the table, as well the Highland house in White Lake ) but 2) 30 minutes for some pretty average quality eggs and waffles is extreme. I will never eat here again and not just because of the food, but because of the horrible way the owner spoke to me. I have dined in restaurants all over the world. After a 30 minute wait, you should be getting Michelin star food not some very basic eggs and waffles. it’s just a poorly run restaurant and clearly short staffed. There has been of help wanted sign up for at least the three weeks since my first visit. I don’t blame restaurant workers for not wanting to work here if this is the person who manages them.
We are struggling to adjust to living in this place after moving here from Colorado and I am heartbroken to such rude people and treatment. makes me feel very unwelcome in...
Read moreTried this out for the first time this morning, and I am not disappointed! I went in to order a carry out and the hostess immediately greeted me. She was super sweet young girl (who said it was only her second day.. She was great by the way) - when I sat down at the counter to look over the menu, I was greeted within 2 minutes by two separate servers. Every staff member I encountered was friendly! Great service, and my omelette was delicious! I love that they use all fresh ingredients! I will be back!
Update because unfortunately my second visit here was not as great as the first. I'll only knock my review down to a 3 because the food was still good! I ordered an omelette and asked for a side of sausage gravy, they said it only comes in a cup or a bowl, so I got a cup. When I received my order, they gave me biscuits and gravy instead of just gravy. I told the waitress and she said it was her mistake and quickly grabbed my a cup of gravy. When I told her I had already paid & asked what the price difference was she said it was the same. I'm sorry but FIVE dollars for a small (coffee size) cup of gravy is insane! She claimed they charge for either a half or full order of B&G. But I didnt get biscuits. (& the guy that stepped in when I first asked for it even said it comes in "a cup or bowl" so why all of a sudden is it "half or full" And they have an omelette on the menu that comes with gravy on it, that is only $1 more then the ones without it. Something def does not seem right here. And her only response was "I'm not in charge here." I got a cup of gravy for half the price of...
Read moreI got there at 9am on a Saturday to meet my brother whom I’ve not seen in a year. The place was pretty empty at that time. My brother was late. The owner after about a 1/2 hour asked me if my party was going to be there soon because they don’t seat complete party’s. Ok. I understand that. Mind you when I got there the place was about empty. I’m at a little 2 top right by the door. My brother showed just then. Great all good. The waitress then was all up on us. Food was ok. I was more interested in catching up with my brother. Did I say I was from out of town and slight handicapped. Oh but that’s besides the point I guess. We barely were done and our dishes were picked up. I noticed 2 party’s waiting at the door. Some other lady came by and asked us to leave because she needed to seat other people. I offered her $30 on top of paying our bill (of course )to keep sitting there because I hadn’t seen my brother and it would be more difficult for me to move to Starbucks than just pay to stay there. NOPE. she kicked us out. On our way out there was a 4 top open 2 seats at the counter and only 2 people waiting at that time. Not sure if it was the right thing to do or not but I figured the $30 was the same or more than she would have made on the next people at that exact table. Don’t think I’ll be going back but it was at least a pretty good story anyway. Remember NOT ALL DISABILITIES...
