We had to wait over five mins to even be served at the counter! Or actually to even be acknowledged! The heavy set older woman, who appeared to be the manager walked past us as if we even didn't exist! NO Hello , NO "Hi , we will be with you in a moment " Nothing at all !! After a very young man finally acknowledged us by saying "we will be with you in a moment " it was another 3 min wait ! That's crazy !! After getting "order" completed , we going to get soft drinks and the older heavy set woman (manager?)again was rude 😑 and cut us off from our drinks! She came from the back of the store and did not say excuse me or anything. She seem to be more worried about curbside orders then in store orders There were 5 employees and 1 Brista and the older heavy set woman barking out orders! WE spent $38 dollars in this Panera Bread and was treated with disrespect and rudeness which IS TOTALLY Unacceptable to Me !! Why do I have to wait long times to give you My Money !
There coffee is kinda good but way overpriced! And so are the sides and pastries ! If I need to spend that kind of Money! I Expect at least some QUALITY CUSOMER SERVICE ! The older heavy set Manger or supervisor should be required to go through some refresher courses on how to be kind , inviting and warm to Panera customers !
I would not recommend 😐 this Yorkville Panera Bread or actually any Panera for that matter ...its kinda jist All right coffee and its way too expensive 2 me .

Read moreI personally give my business to Panera because they are one of the few healthier options for a “fast food” restaurant. Never had a bad experience. Food has never taken longer than it should for this type of place considering it’s not a drive through. Managers are all nice and I’m not just saying that. I literally had one tell me that because I didn’t complain about the fact that the sausage on my sandwich was going to take 5 minutes to make, she gave me a free meal for my next visit. (Apparently that pisses people off, I mean you go to other places and if you order chicken that usually takes longer!) so I was surprised to hear that a lot of people complain about that. Read moreThis is not the Panera I’m used to. I have visited here very irregularly over the years and have always been impressed by the cleanliness of store, freshness of the food and coffee and service provided by the staff. Not impressed today. The coffee was barely warmer than room temperature. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken, egg and avocado wrap that was similar to a hot pocket pulled from the microwave 30 seconds to fast. Floors were dirty, empty tables had not been wiped down. Windows have finger prints smeared on them. One of these things happening here or there would be completely understandable but all of them in one visit is a bit overwhelming.
The positive here is that the staff is as friendly and courteous as ever.
