I don’t usually leave reviews, but today’s visit to Starbucks deserves the attention. Unfortunately, they were out of a few items (which is understandable with the fall launch), but what stood out was the way the barista, Amany, handled everything.
I come almost every day when she’s working because she consistently makes my drink perfectly and so efficiently. Even when she’s working alone, she’s quick, attentive, and always has a genuine smile. She takes the time to acknowledge every customer, which makes such a difference.
Today, I witnessed a very upset customer who was unhappy that oat milk was sold out. Amany kindly suggested other non-dairy options, but the customer responded rudely even saying she’d just bring oat milk from Target. Despite being called names and treated poorly, Amany stayed calm, kind, and professional. She kept smiling, offered to remake the drink, and never once let the negativity affect how she treated others.
What really stood out to me was how kind-hearted she is. So many people asked if she was okay, but she never put her head down or let the situation break her. She didn’t let her emotions get the best of her she pushed through the entire rush alone and still had every single drink made in less than 30 minutes. That level of grace and strength is rare to see.

So, I walked in alone and apparently my daughter followed behind me. My daughter kindly asked for a cake pop. I obliged and purchased one for myself, as well. Then, this young bundle of no fun gave our cake pops to my daughter's mother. And, before the barista could hear me say no, it was too late. Mama bear said no eating in the store and took off into the abyss of Target. I was livid because Mama Bear took our cake pops and because barista girl handed our cake pops to the demon I was trying to avoid.
