One of my absolute favorite spots to eat in Bristol has got to be Cielito Mexican Restaurant.
Seriously, every time I go, I make sure to order their taquitos—whether it’s steak, chicken, or pork, I honestly can’t pick a favorite because they’re all so good. Even though they’re technically an appetizer, the portion is always so generous that it easily feels like a whole meal to me. Plus, they always include this awesome bag of warm tortilla chips and fresh salsa with every order, which I love saving for a little snack later on. That little bonus always makes the whole experience feel extra special.
When I’m craving something more filling, I go straight for the steak and cheese burrito. It’s massive—so big that I usually share it with my boyfriend—and the side of gooey cheese sauce that comes with it is just perfect for dipping.
Honestly, Cielito never cuts corners on portions or flavor, and that’s why I keep coming back.
There are also other dishes I’ve loved over time, like the molcajete. It comes sizzling hot in this cool lava rock bowl packed with steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo—plus a little jalapeño heat that just hits the spot.
And the guacamole? They actually make it fresh right at your table, smashing up ripe avocados with lime, tomato, and just the right amount of spice.
I’ve had their fajitas too, both the chicken and shrimp versions, and wow—they come sizzling, tender, and just begging to be wrapped in warm tortillas with sides of rice and beans. One time I tried their enchiladas with mole sauce, and I was really surprised.
Their drinks are a total treat too. The blood orange margarita is super smooth and tangy. Definitely worth trying!
The whole vibe at Cielito is warm and inviting. Even when it’s busy, the staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome, which really makes a difference.
They’re open every day from 11 AM to 10 PM during the week, and stay open later on the weekends
The restaurant’s right on Main Street in Bristol, easy to find with plenty of parking.
Whether I’m eating in or grabbing takeout, I always leave feeling happy and satisfied. Honestly, it’s become my go-to spot for Mexican food around here—I...
Read moreNever got to try their food. The service was less than the one star given. I took my grandson for a motorcycle ride up through the white mountains. We had been wanting to stop at this restaurant since they opened last year. The day was perfect..hot, sunny..we parked and walked to the door/ patio entrance with anticipation of a nice lunch & grandfather/grandson time. The sign said to check in w server before entering patio seating..so we waited..and waited..and waited. Servers blindly bustled past us going in & out ..no one ever said a word to us, or smiled or acknowledged us in any way. After about 10 minutes, we walked inside the door...exactly the same lack of acknowledgment or basic courtesy..but indoors. After another 10 minutes of being ignored, we stepped back outside...waited a few more minutes & I finally stopped a waitress going past us who appeared a little put out about being interrupted. I asked what the process was to get a seat ..she then informed me she was expecting "a large party" and didnt think there would be any seats available for us. A simple, we are really busy or it will be a long wait or any other customer service would have been much better than blowing off a 9 year old kid with his grandfather. We went elsewhere to eat...will definitely never make another visit to this business & will share this experience with any of my friends & acquaintances who live or visit this area. I live a couple of towns away from Bristol, am a NH & Lakes Region native, I work in Massachusetts, so my friends/associates/acquaintances are both local & regional..I'm inclined to spoil my family with frequent dining out..I'd like to thank the staff for the early indication of being unwelcome at their establishment...saves s lot of time &...
Read moreCertainly a ray of "sunshine" here in Bristol. It's conveniently located with lots of parking either in the small lot or on the downtown Bristol streets. Not a lot of tables but a huge wrap-around bar left from the previous owners. While it was a cool evening for July the night I went the AC was off so inside it was a bit warm, although not stifling. We ordered take out which was a good idea since the place was full at 6:30 (which is normal for most restaurants at that time of evening so no worries there). The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The portions were small but I have to admit satisfying - no need for doggy bag here.
My wife ordered the Carnitas Tacos with corn tortillas which she said was very good. (With a wheat and milk sensitivity she said she had no reaction at all. That's good because it means we can go back with no worries about allergies which I gotta tell ya - is a real problem with most restaurants.)
I ordered the Cochinita Pibil which is almost the same as the Carnitas Taco but with pickled red onion (quite tasty) and jalepeño slices. The pork was a tiny bit dry and they forgot my tortillas so - really only half a star off for that cause I was too lazy to go back across town. They added a good size bag of corn chips and a tease size - like 2 oz - of very tasty and fresh salsa which wasn't near enough for all the chips.
All in all - if all goes well - Bristol has a new...
