Iāve had to think about how to do up this review and to what I would score it, not just based on them but to not base it off other places, but itās tough to compete with other places and still stand/grade on its own. Firstly..I heard about it because someone posted on a Bristol Talks page about them catering a party and how great the food was and the portions they got. Iām sure it wasā¦maybe it wasnāt the same cook..maybe it was and Sundays are different..I really donāt know. This was my first time here.
Parking - Located on Stafford Avenue, depending on the direction youāre driving, you have to pass the sign and go in the next driveway. Thereās plenty of parkingā¦if the other stores in it arenāt too busy. Small curb, but there is a ramp as well so if you need to get in via wheelchair, you can.
Food - I got a Sausage and Pepper dinner over ziti. You got a small salad with dressing; which is same size as everyone else gives..you got a pretty good size meal but couple issuesā¦WHEN comping to all the other establishments in the area. 1) Bread..as you can see in the picture, the garlic bread was literally the size of 2 bites and it was gone..so no dunking in the sauce unlike Empire, Max, etc where you get a huge slice of garlic bread. 2) The sauce..when I was finished with the meal (to go), it had a ton of water meaning that the sauce they use..gets watered down at some point, as opposed to using sauce. (Again..I want sauce with pasta and bread to dip it in..thatās the whole experience of getting a pasta).
Service - Guy behind the counter was easy to talk to when ordering, brought the food out when it was finished.
Will I go back again? Prices were reasonable..thereās no doubt it about it. But they were pretty much the same as the other places in Bristol, Plainville, Southington, etc. Iād honestly give them another chanceā¦but will I go out of my way? Sadlyā¦no. Thereās just so many other places to choose from in the area that to me anyway that hit a triple or a HR. On a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn recommendation of a neighbor, this evening we ordered a medium size sausage, onion & peppers pizza for delivery. When we opened the pizza upon delivery the three of us were disappointed to see what looked to be a dry pizza with raw white onions on the top together with a scarce handful of cheese & the same meager scattering of red sauce. The three of us, having planned nothing else for dinner each tried a slice-to complete disappointment. The onions were indeed raw; the crust was like chewing old bread & there was not enough sauce to add any flavor to the raw mess. I tried to call and share our disappointment in the kindest way possible. The woman who answered immediately curtly dismissed my concerns. She went on to say that she was the manager & she was very busy & there was nothing she could do. After explaining that it seemed wrong to pay $30.00 for a barely edible pizza & that I had expected that they would welcome the constructive criticism. She rudely said there was nothing she could do & that was that as she slammed the phone down. This is my first negative review & I am hoping that others donāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is LITERALLY the 3rd or 4th time they got my order wrong. I kept on saying DO BETTER but today they passed the buck and said they have "new" people. It's not rocket science It's just pizza. Also it came an hour and 10 min after I ordered, and the pizza was not fresh and I KNOW they had that just chilling on the top of the oven until they get someone to actually deliver it. I only live 2 blocks away! I caught them once in the past and this time too, they were talking about me and "it must be my problem" when I was put on hold and they didn't realize that it was me on the phone and I can hear them. I'm DONE with this place. They were awesome once, now...... You get the picture. Apparently others are agreeing about...
