Starbucks — Restaurant in Bristol

I want to preface by saying I have worked most of my life in the restaurant business, I’m currently a bartender! I get that when it’s super busy it can be extremely stressful. I am more than understanding and patient! Today I showed a picture of what I wanted to order, and said “the only thing I want to add is almond milk to the top.” The cashier was accommodating and kind; she cashed me out. After waiting a few minutes, I see my drink has no almond milk. So I told the girl that made my drink “ hey I know you’re busy so whenever you get a second can you please just top this off with almond milk?” She rudely responded with “you need to start ordering it correctly because that’s a latte charge and I can’t be giving out that much almond milk.” I explained that I told the cashier to add the almond milk and there was a misunderstanding, she thought I wanted a little bit! Not a problem, I said I would pay for it if need be, but they said it wasn’t an issue. She sighed then filled it up. Like I previously said, I know that being busy is super stressful, but it is important to always maintain proper customer service. I noticed her manager was helping them the entire time because of how busy it was, so I was shocked when she spoke to me in that manner with her manager being there. Visiting family here in CT and needed an afternoon pick me up. All I can say is wow!!! The barista Patrick was unbelievably amazing. His attitude was positive and he was super knowledgeable. Felt like I was in a coffee shop in a small main street town. My sister wanted to try the new apple crisp oat milk latte however she drinks decaf coffee and we weren’t sure that you can make this specific latte with decaf. Patrick chimed in almost intuitively and explained how he would use the blonde decaf to make the latte. Updated Jul2019 - still going strong. been visiting at least a few times a week and see tonnes of repeat customers. Says A LOT about their operations. From my side, their staff has gotten EVEN better since beginning of 2019. Keep up the focus on service. Maybe a bit more variety of bakery/food offering would make it even greater.
