Bubbakoo's Burritos — Restaurant in Broadview Heights

My family and I were in the area today so we decided to give this a try for lunch. We've been desperately looking for a good burrito place that's not Chipotle. We really enjoyed the food and the place was really clean but there were a few setbacks for us. First off being our first time we were a little bit confused and trying to figure out how it all worked. Unfortunately I have to say the staff was not very helpful to us. They were not rude but I just wish that they could have explained what was included in our purchase did that include chips and salsa drinks Etc. I was also very disappointed that you don't get chips and salsa with your meal. You have to order that separate and it's over $4 for a drink and chips to go along with a $12 meal. I had to figure this out myself when I was at the register. My other complaint and this would be the reason why I gave the food a four stars was we ordered the basic salsa to go with our chips and it was just like tomatoes and water. 2/19- dropped down to 3 stars, the food is still really great but the service level has really dropped off. When I arrived and saw my order wasn’t ready I stood near the counter, the expected online order completion was 5:17 and food wasn’t ready I til 5:35. Didn’t really get acknowledged for the first couple minutes of standing there. When the restaurant first opened you were always being greeted right away. Restaurant was not busy at all. Nothing was said about the order being behind schedule. Just a bit disappointing considering how great things started off here. I hope some better training gets things back on track with the service quality.

On 10/28 online ordered. The food received was high quality and the service was excellent. The employee that made our order even held the door open for me because I am in a walking boot and have a hard time getting through the door with the bags. Thank you thank you!! I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was so bad I feel obligated to warn people. I came in expecting a decent-sized burrito, and what I got looked like a sad, shrunken, halfhearted attempt at food — barely 6 inches long and 3 inches wide. That’s not a burrito, that’s a snack you’d give a toddler. For the price they charge, it’s downright insulting.

When I politely mentioned the size and asked if they could make it right, the staff couldn’t have cared less. They were dismissive, rude, and made it seem like I was the problem for expecting something that actually resembled a meal. Zero effort to accommodate or even acknowledge that my order was unacceptable.

The food itself? Dry, bland, and thrown together without any care. Honestly, I’ve had better burritos from a gas station microwave. Combine that with the terrible service and you’ve got a place I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.
