Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Broken Arrow

RUDE STAFF - BE PREPARED TO HAVE MISSING ITEMS IN YOUR ORDER! This was the most frustrating experience I’ve had with a restaurant in a long while! My brother and I went to get a 15 piece meal and had ordered some of our favorites (extra honey butter biscuits and corn). We’d asked for spicy and original dark. They advised us that they couldn’t accommodate all the spicy (which was fine) - the woman who came out didn’t greet us and was very short - she asked a question and turned on her heel. Then when we were handed the order, we had to drive around to the front because they needed time to get our order together; the server pushed it into the window, didn’t say anything, just walked away. My brother said, “thank you, have a good evening” - no response. Once we got home, we realized that we’d gotten everything but our corn. So I read the receipt for the number to contact the location and called. The manager “Trece” just happened to be the one to answer. I explain to her that we were missing items and told her that which, without missing a beat her response was “well you can come up here to pick it up, we’ll have it ready for you”. There was no empathy, no consideration as it wasn’t our fault that we were missing items, no apology and when I said something about it - she proceeded to talk over me and went on to say that she “the manager” was unable to control my experience at her store. And shared that I could speak to Angela in the morning who I took to understand was her morning manager. I’m so disappointed by this EXPERIENCE. After reading some of the reviews, wooow baby. I went yesterday right at the dinner time. After past experiences at KFC, I figured it would be upwards of 30 minutes plus to get an order filled. I came inside the lady behind the counter, with her stuff in hand to clock out for the day, said someone will be right with you. And then she said, no, I'll go ahead and get your order. Wowzzers, really customer service? Yep, and was very pleasant and helpful the entire process! Even took time and thanked me for coming in and to have a good day. I did need a little bite while I waited for the 4 minutes for fresh, hot yummy chicken. I asked for a order, just one chicken tender, and paid for it, the sweet lady said that the tenders were a little small, so she gave me 2. The tender was nice and juicy. Not greasy at all. I didn't feel like I had just put on a heavy dose of chapstick after eating it like at KFC. I didn't even have greasy fingers. My order was ready in less then the 4mins. I got home with fresh, hot lovely fried chicken. Still no chapstick lips, no grease soaked fingers, just simply great fried chicken! I have ate Church's Chicken since I was a wee one. We lived in San Antonio so we got the best. I moved to Oklahoma and found one in Broken Arrow. They are so clean, friendly and reasonably priced. However I am disappointed in the mashed potatoes. You can tell they are instant and no gravy on earth can fix that. I wish they made them home made. It would be worth paying more if it were fresh. Also they need a new way to cook their corn. It's too soft for my liking. And too sweet. The chicken is wonderful as it always is and the pickled jalapenos are a-one top grade delicious! They need to jar those and sell them! Theirs is the only jalapeno that I can eat and enjoy the flavor along with the slight heat they have. Also, their green beans are perfectly seasoned and so very good! Well worth getting. We will get those all the time. So, here is what we got that I am basing my rating on: 5 chicken breasts 2 large mashed potatoes & gravy 2 large Green beans 1 corn on the cob 1 regular jalapeño popper 1 jalapeño 1 large fried okra Give them a try. Remember to get a jalapeño for your chicken (you squeeze the juice on the chicken and eat it with your chicken, bite by bite...absolutely delicious!).
