Like other locals I love me some coneys from time to time. But I was VERY disappointed with this location. I went here to get some food for me & my family. I didn’t have anything overly complicated or anything. I asked for 9 coneys (3 no mustard, 3 no chili, 3 no onion).I thought this was a relatively simple task, but apparently the staff didn’t think so… not only did the lady sound irritated while I was ordering, but when I got to the window I hear the lady tell her co workers “oh here’s the guy with all the complicated changes”… after hearing this I was immediately surprised & upset over this type of behavior. I looked into the store after hearing this & saw 3 people give me dirty looks, & than they sent a guy to take care of me instead of the lady who was originally at the window… I didn’t feel like escalating the situation so I kept my thoughts to myself, & paid/ received my order from the guy. The guy was nice (which kept me calm), he made sure I had everything & even asked if I needed any extra sauces, more napkins, crackers, etc… but the original girls behavior made me NOT enjoy this experience. My coney was tasty as always, but unfortunately was cold. I still ate & enjoyed my cold coney, but I’m still baffled that employees can be so rude & worked up over tiny changes to a coney… I know it’s not original, but is asking for something like “no onions” really so difficult for the staff?… I will return for more coneys in the future, but I will NEVER return to this...
Read moreI arrived at drive thru window 10/23/2024 10:55 before opening while waiting I watched through window as a employee had silver large bowls with chili, and onions as he took his hands with gloves on and racked onion into another silver bowl with other onion. Then the same with left over cheese added new cheese.as he did this he rested the same hand he was touching cheese and onion counter then finished racking fresh into bowls containing what was in another bowl. I was going to pull away but didn't and ordered when they opened. Because hot dogs on grill didn't appear fully cooked from window and there was small white bowl with chili running down sides I should have ordered . However as I left window I touch chili to see if hot was warm so drove 3 to 4 min home. Ate 11:15 begin to feel nausea at 1:00 then painful stomach cramps which lasted off and on as I took pesto then at 5pm to 5:30 pm vomiting several time contents of chili. Only meal of day Coneys 2, fritos and pepsi .was sick rest of day until Friday. Reported incident to Health Department they visited said seem to be ok however lady that took my car failed to explained that I told her about mixing of fresh with old food items Man that went out said he would go back with information that lady didn't include in report about what I saw. I won't go back to this BA Coney Island again or any for a long time. Have eaten Coney Island since 1950's very...
Read moreFood was normal. Like a review a few days ago, the place is filthy. Yesterday was no exception. We get it, busy places take effort and manpower to keep clean. However the line was to the door and 5 people were behind the counter. One gentleman was taking partial orders, one person at a time. Then proceeded to make it, take the rest of that one person's order and then repeat everything to the lady at the register. Then a "dasher" would come up to the counter and the same guy would ask about his order, make it, sack it up and hand it off. This same individual would make drive thru orders and hand off to a guy at the window. The other 2 employees were located where you would think you order at. But that's not how this store operates. You pass by the two able bodied guys overseeing the hotdogs and head to the register to order from the guy doing too much, too loud. He spoke loudly to the, as he called them, "boys". Get me the red lid, get me this..get me that. Those two guys could absolutely have helped the 20 people in line by putting hotdogs in buns and pass them along.
This store could be excellent. All the employees seem very capable, willing and had good attitudes. This looks like a complete management issue. A training and...
