Rustic Chophouse, touted as an “upscale steakhouse” in Broken Arrow’s historic Rose District, promises a blend of art and taste in its cuisine. With claims of indulgent cocktails, impeccable meal preparation, and an immersive atmosphere, coupled with an empty stomach, I set out to indulge. The atmosphere at Rustic exudes elegance, boasting modern design with subtle rustic charm. Warm yellow lighting, lofty ceilings, and wood accents create a welcoming ambiance, aligning perfectly with expectations of an upscale steakhouse. Seated at the bar, we found comfortable seats bathed in well-appointed lighting, with a display of libations setting the stage for a delightful dining experience.
Our servers, Alexis and Ty, stood out for their impeccable service. Alexis, with three years at Rustic, demonstrated the restaurant's commitment to its staff. Her expertise extended beyond service; she showcased her mixology skills with a creamy, delectable, sweet orange dreamsicle libation. Her attentiveness in describing the menu enhanced our experience, demonstrating dedication to meeting our needs.
The food journey started promisingly with the RC Beef + FRIP, featuring beef tenderloin atop a house-made potato chip, adorned with blue cheese and Amarena cherry. Visually stunning, each bite offered a symphony of flavors. However, the smoked duck, served on a latke with creme fraiche and blueberry jam, impressed with its presentation but lacked depth in flavor. The charcuterie board, while aesthetically pleasing, lacked accompaniments, detracting from the overall experience. The Manhattan lobster bisque, however, stood out with its rich blend of flavors.
The main course, an 18-ounce porterhouse steak with house bearnaise sauce, disappointed. The visibly split sauce resembled scrambled eggs, while the steak, ordered rare-to-medium/rare, arrived unevenly cooked, with most pieces medium-to-well done. The sides fared no better; the mild mushroom mac and cheese had cold cheese on top and a texture reminiscent of processed cheese, while the roasted Brussels sprouts were marred by an overly sweet sauce.
We expressed our concerns to the manager, whose explanation of the bearnaise sauce's preparation added to our disappointment. Despite a 20% discount on our bill, the mishap in execution and preparation overshadowed the promising start. The evening ended without dessert, leaving a profound letdown.
Overall, Rustic Chophouse's promising start was marred by disappointments in execution and preparation, particularly with the main courses and sides. While exceptional service from individuals like Alexis and Ty warrants appreciation, it's challenging to consider revisiting Rustic anytime soon amidst Tulsa's abundance of steakhouse options. Dining experiences are often a gamble, and this one leaned towards...

As a local business owner, a food enthusiast, and a father intent on creating meaningful dining experiences for my family, I can tell you without a hint of doubt: Rustic Chophouse in Broken Arrow is a revelation. This extraordinary establishment has made an indelible impression on our taste buds and hearts, earning a resounding 5 stars from us.
Our culinary journey commenced with an expertly curated charcuterie board. Each component – a vibrant array of grapes, an enticing selection of cheeses, a careful assortment of nuts, and a stunning variety of meats – was meticulously chosen and artfully arranged. Together, they composed a symphony of tastes and textures, each flavor note harmoniously complementing the next.
The scallops appetizer was an equally delightful follow-up. These delicacies of the sea, seared to a golden perfection yet retaining an inviting tenderness within, serenaded our taste buds with a whisper of the ocean’s bounty.
The pièce de résistance of our gastronomic adventure was, of course, the steak. Expertly cooked to our specifications, the steak’s tantalizing crust hinted at the chef's mastery, while the tender meat unfolded a medley of delectable flavors with each bite.
Complementing these stellar dishes were the sides – a velvety lobster bisque soup brimming with chunks of succulent lobster, and velvety mashed potatoes that burst with buttery, comforting goodness. They enhanced our main course, creating a dining experience that transcended the ordinary.
Rustic Chophouse's atmosphere is both vibrant and comfortably intimate, making it a perfect venue for any occasion. The service is impeccable, with an attentive, passionate staff dedicated to delivering a memorable dining experience.
In conclusion, Rustic Chophouse is a symphony of fine dining, impeccable service, and culinary artistry. As a local business owner, I highly value the commitment to excellence that this establishment consistently demonstrates. I heartily recommend this gastronomic gem in Broken Arrow to anyone who appreciates a truly remarkable dining experience. Five well-deserved stars, and we eagerly anticipate our...
Read moreSo I stick up for servers everywhere I go, anyone who knows me knows that. You never know what happens and everyone makes mistakes. That being said this was by far the worst fine dining experience we have ever had. We literally had to get in a verbal altercation with a server named Rick over our food being bad due to terrible cuts of meat, which also tells you how bad the service was as well. I will never return to this place ever again. It makes places like Phryme and Mahgoanys look like gods gift to earth. Save your money and blood pressure. Worst experience ever. If the men at our table were younger and less mature, It probably would have turned into a physical altercation. Unacceptable behavior. He told us and I quote "Noone else complains" and "sorry you have to actually use a knife to cut your steak"! He also was always hovering over my father in law, so we nicely asked for him to leave us alone and our table since we clearly were making no progress with Rick. He wouldn't leave after we asked 3 times! I nicely ask for the manager and the men at our table walk away for a breather, one to restroom and one on patio. Rick took their steaks away while they were gone without asking! He was the worst server, very unprofessional, and shouldn't be working high end dining if thats his normal demeanor. That being said, I hope every bit of bad luck and business for that place. Table of 4, 1 over cooked steak (ordered medium and got well done) and 2 terrible cuts of meat that you could barely chew. After talking to the manager who you could tell was totally overwhelmed we still walk out with a $250 tab. Pathetic! So we gladly went next door, drank and had much...
