First off, I am not usually one to leave bad reviews or any reviews at all. People who run restaurants are human and things happen...... but my family and I were down for a few days for spring break. We drove past this place several time over the 3 day period. On the last night my wife and I decided to try it. So please read this whole review. I walked in and was greeted and asked how I could be helped. I told them I was not from the area but had been by this place several times. I ordered a Hometown special and a party platter off the appetizer menu. While I was waiting an older later came walking up to the counter madder than a hornet and said she had been waiting by herself for over 25 minutes. The hostess and one of the waiters tried to get her to stay but she said she wanted to leave and was tired of the wait. She argued with the person checking her out about nobody coming to inform her of her order and still made her pay for her meal. Second, another lady walked in and asked if her food was ready and the hostess said it would be right out. By now I've waited 5 minutes or so. Group by group kept coming in and there became quite the crowd in the foyer area. All this is understandable. After waiting 15 minutes, someone from the back came to the front to tell me and the other lady waiting our food would be right out. I waited and the other lady waited and now 25 minutes into the wait I nor the other lady had our food. At 28 minutes the lady who showed up after me got her food and left. After sitting there for another 5 minutes my food came out and was handed to me. Nobody told me thank you or apologized for the wait. Our stay is 5 minutes down the road. When I got back to our house we opened our food and I was less than impressed. My wife got the hometown special and it came in a huge to go box and it was only half full with a few pieces of chicken with minimal cheese sauce. For $12 I expected a little more food. The party platter I got smelled great but the food was cold and seemed to have been sitting for a while before either was handed to me. The nachos and flautas were soggy. When I started eating the other food it was bland and didn't have much flavor. My wife and I hadn't ate anything since lunch at 11:30 and within a few hours were both sick to our stomachs and not feeling well. I tried to call about my experience but the phone kept ringing. I hate to leave a bad review but this was not an enjoyable experience and I will probably not be...
Read moreI am writing to bring to your attention an incident that occurred at Papa Poblanos on the evening of September 2nd. We were a group of two families, totaling six people, who dined at the restaurant from 08:15 to 09:15 PM.
The total amount was $79.83 including a Service Charge. But as an outright cheating attempt, when we split the amount between the families, we were charged $65 each making the overall amount as $130. For the last two weeks, we have been trying to get the charges reversed, but the staff is rude, unresponsive and makes it appear as if this whole thing is our fault. Their system shows an enormous tip of $25.08 (to each family) and they DO NOT have a single piece of paper justifying that where we have written and signed such an amount. Despite our repeated requests for resolution and a refund of the overcharged amount, the issue remains unresolved. For such a small amount, they keep sending us in circles with their parent company TOAST who are equally unresponsive.
The food at the restaurant is passe. The only reason why this place possibly still runs is due to the location. There are a lot better places around that we went during that trip who will not cheat the tourists. Go to this place only if you want to get your Credit Card overcharged.

The menu is extensive and features a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, such as fajitas, tacos, and enchiladas. Each dish is made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, and you're sure to leave feeling full and satisfied.
Papa Poblanos' staff was attentive and offers wonderful service. They are aware of the menu and will gladly make recommendations if you are unsure what to order. The restaurant is very spotless, and you can see the employees working hard to keep everything in order.
In addition to the great food and service, the prices at Papa Poblanos are very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. The restaurant is also conveniently located in the heart of Broken Bow, making it easily accessible to both locals and visitors.
Overall, I highly recommend Papa Poblanos in Broken Bow. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner with friends or a family night out, this restaurant is a...
