Late-night cravings led us to Freddy’s Steakburgers just after 9pm, with dreams of crispy onion rings, gooey chili cheese fries, and juicy burgers dancing in our heads. We rolled up to the drive-thru with no line in sight—an encouraging sign for hungry souls looking for a quick bite.
The young lady taking our order was kind and courteous, though we hit a small speed bump with the intercom. She had some trouble hearing me, and I had to repeat the order a few times. Still, she kept a polite tone throughout, which made the hiccup easier to forgive. Our order: two bacon double original steakburgers—one paired with onion rings, the other with chili cheese fries.
The food came out surprisingly fast, a definite win. But when we parked to dig in, our excitement took a nosedive—half the order was missing. One burger and its glorious chili cheese fries were nowhere to be found. I went inside to sort it out, and again, the staff showed kindness. The young man at the door apologized and headed to the back to fix the oversight. A few extra minutes passed, but eventually, we had the full meal in hand. Unfortunately, it came without a fork for the fries or napkins, and after the back-and-forth, I didn’t feel like going in again.
Thankfully, the food itself almost made up for the snafus. The burgers were rich, juicy, and full of that classic Freddy’s flavor. My boyfriend ordered his without mustard but admitted he missed a bit of zing—maybe a second sauce next time would balance out the richness. The onion rings were hot, crispy, and golden perfection. And the chili cheese fries? Surprisingly complex for fast food—savory, cheesy, with a depth of flavor that felt like a bonus win.
Despite the missteps, Freddy’s delivered on flavor. We’ll definitely be back for another round—hopefully with a smoother...
Read moreI frequent this Freddy’s quite a bit. Went today and waited way longer than usual. I finally get to the window and I was given a small cup and my side order of chili cheese fries in a hotdog container. The explanation was that they didn’t have any cups, regular sauce, or containers. I was actually annoyed when they handed me the drink and told me this. I never considered myself a Karen or a Kraig I guess but I felt it in this moment. Was half tempted to ask for a refund. As you can imagine I was grieving pretty hard. Decided to take a 24 oz cup from wawa and went back to get a drink. When I went inside the ice machine wasn’t working and they had a bucket of ice out for people to scoop from. Just seeing the store go down hill and would hope it keeps quality and proper management or whatever it needs to just get by even. Just a bit ridiculous of an experience. Workers don’t clarify what’s in stock and not and also have been up sold on portion sizes for chili cheese fries without it being clarified a lot of the time. Between the meal side and the bigger order. Love the food just wish it was a better experience like the...
Read moreI love this place... Im trying to cut out fast food and eat healthier... However once a month I have these cravings and when I do I want nothing but one of the steak burgers from here. The patty melt... the Chicago dog everything is very good and very fresh... I love the fries.. Not a fan of the cheese curds but my kids love them. Best milkshakes and sundaes ever. I have never been inside so I cannot speak for the interior... my only complaint would be... The drive thru is a lil messy with its staff... I understand teens and the such however in the workplace its still a level of customer service expected. Which the service is always usually decent the wait can be extremely long especially when all the kids are just chilling with clearly nothing to do... I guess... An i didnt like that one time there were two girls at the window one was fixing the other girls hair or playing in it. That's fine but not working with food!... Otherwise i love this place food is always on point service is decent wait is long and at times can be ridiculous but its so good its...
