BEWARE!!! This used to be a weekly meal for us when we lived nearby prior to moving about 10 miles away. About 3 months had passed since our last visit. I was in the area with my wife and we decided to stop for a late lunch. It was 2:36 when we arrived to take advantage of the lunch specials, advertised to last until 3pm. Our order was finally taken and entered into their system at 2:47, documented by my receipt. We finished our meal and received our receipt at 3:28pm. I noticed our meals where priced higher than what they had listed. I pointed this out to my server who stated it was because it was after 3pm. I explained we arrived just after 2:30, and ordered well before 3pm...probably served our meals prior to 3pm as well. She went and spoke to another employee who came to our table and gave us the same story. I told him this was absurd, and that if this was their policy, it should be clearly outlined that you need to leave before 3pm or get charged the regular prices. This is probably against the law, and I could have probably insisted on an adjustment, but I had other commitments that I had to take care of. Due to this small dollar amount, nothing more than a greedy overcharge, they are not only getting this one star review, they are also losing a regular customer that has giving them business for 15 years +/-. Just remember this review if you decide to visit and order a...
Read moreLos Bravos or Lo Bro if you're one of the cool kids is our local watering hole for me and my wife, and all our friends. We go here weekly, sometimes bi-weekly if we really are craving it, and love the food. The people are all really nice and the margaritas are delicious and strong. We've had all of the servers, and they're great, but if you really want to maximize the awesomeness, ask for Miranda. She is the best (no offense to the others we just love her)!
My go-to dish is the Braves Special Plate Texas-style. It's a good sized bed of Mexican rice topped with a generous helping of fajita chicken, steak, and shrimp, and then it's all covered in jalapeño queso.
For margaritas, I recommend the organic margarita on the rocks. We usually get it as a pitcher for the table since it's on special. If you are more into the frozen thing, then I say go for the Margarona - a goblet of frozen margarita with an upside-down corona dunked in it. Do not knock it till you try it. It is a game changer.
At the end of the day, it might not be the most luxurious looking of places, but the food and people more than make up for that. Give it a try and you won't regret it, and if you do, you need to get checked by a psychiatrist because you're a...
