Let's talk about the crown jewel of the menu – the Chicken Biryani. As I took my first forkful, an orchestra of spices danced on my palate in perfect harmony. The succulent chicken pieces were nestled amongst the fragrant grains of Basmati rice like hidden treasures waiting to be unearthed. Each grain seemed to have absorbed the essence of saffron, cinnamon, and cardamom, creating a symphony of aroma that caressed my senses. Every bite was a revelation, a revelation that this biryani was not merely a dish, but a testament to the artistry of the chef. Next up, the Egg Biryani. Now, I know eggs can sometimes be relegated to a supporting role in dishes, but this biryani shattered that notion completely. The eggs, boiled to perfection, had embraced the masalas with an eagerness that left me amazed. It's as if they were partners in this culinary tango, each bite a delightful interplay of textures and flavors. The yolk, velvety and rich, mingled with the spices in a dance that elevated the humble egg to a level I never thought possible.
And then, there was the Lamb Curry. Oh, where do I even begin? The tender chunks of lamb had undergone a metamorphosis in that curry. The sauce itself was an enigma – rich and velvety, with a complexity that hinted at hours of slow simmering and a deep understanding of spices. With every bite of the lamb, I could feel its tenderness and flavor amplified by the surrounding curry, a flavor so profound that I could almost envision the chef coaxing the meat and spices into this divine union.
As I sat there, savoring these dishes, it struck me that this restaurant had achieved the elusive. It had breathed life into its food, turning each plate into a canvas of taste. This was not a mere meal; it was a revelation, a celebration of Indian cuisine's depth and diversity. The attention to detail, the harmony of spices, and the sheer passion woven into every dish set this...
Read moreAbsolutely horrendous customer service. I am not one to write reviews and generally understand the challenge of working in food service. However, we believe Moon Indian scammed us out of $50 after a cancelled UberEats order. We immediately cancelled an order placed through UberEats and we were charged $50 because the “order had been accepted.” We reached out to UberEats because had we known we’d be charged that much immediately after the order, I wouldn’t have cancelled. However, recognizing that there was no true cancelation on the UberEats side and that they had to pay the restaurant regardless, we called Moon Indian and asked if we could instead come in and pick up the food we ordered. They told us that we would have to pay an additional $50 to pick up the food. They were receiving a reimbursement for the canceled order through UberEats and were going to charge us again to come get the order we had already paid for. Not even any offering to help rectify the situation. They lost no money and no time as the order we canceled happened at the same exact time they accepted the order through UberEats. $50 is a lot. I would understand if time had passed and they had prepared food that did not get delivered, but there is literally no way they did any thing besides push a button to accept our order and we were willing to come pick up the food. It feels like a scam. Certainly a lesson learned on our end, but $50 is a lot not to get anything in return and they lost nothing except our business in the future, which I’m sure means nothing to them. Sad for us because we like Moon Indian. Beware of poor customer service if you order from here. They are willing to take the scam and do...
Read moreVery Poor service! Worst experience! I tried so many Indian restaurants around Atlanta and Alpharetta, Unfortunately this was the worst experience - because of the food and service both!
Staff was super rude!
Long story review- we went thr really hungry before catching a flight from Airport, we ordered a Veg Jalfrezi and naan, my husband added Kashmiri pulao, we have a 15months old baby who eats solids (usually we give him what we eat)
The vegetables in Veg Jalfrezi were Broccoli, Lettuce, zucchini etc (not Indian veggies)
The Kashmiri pulao was like a halwa. (Same taste and texture)
As we wanted to eat Indian I got really mad looking at thé vegetables in the curry and my husband was trying to find fruits/dry fruits in Pulao - that guy said we grind everything and mix to make the pulav, you won’t find them 🤣
Very politely I requested the staff that this curry is not eatable for me and my baby is also not eating, usually we add cauliflower carrots etc in this veggie - he said may be you had it in wrong place, still I smiled and requested if they can give me a lil dal or smthing to give the baby as we are really late for flight and his food was pathetic, he denied and brought us the bill.
I have never seen such staff! And of course such food. Never go to that place 🥵 it’s a time and money waste place, right after 4-5 hours, we both got stomach pain and diarrhea.
Not sure how they cook. I still regret going to this place....
